Tires

Haemish

Had a puncture yesterday. No tube tried to goop it and fill back up with compressor. The puncture was obvious but air was leaking out of several of the spokes where they meet rim.  Was the rim compromised? Do you simply tighten these do to vibration?

The rim and spokes/nipples are fine and it is normal for a tubed tire to leak air out the spokes as the bead of the tire against the rim prevents much air loss initially.  The tube will have to be removed and either repaired or replaced.

Goop and innertube are often a " no go" .  Keep a 120/70-19 with you . Will work front and back and get you home i a jiffy .
