Utah backcountry trip

Recommended Posts

Rode 5 days (1,300 miles) through Colorado and Utah. Great scenery! Started in Boulder, CO, and went as far west as Boulder, UT. BTW, the Burr Trail Grill in Boulder, UT makes the best burger I've ever had. Highlights were the Burr Trail in UT, the Bear's Ears area west of Blanding, UT, and riding highway 95 through Hite. Amazing scenery. Colorado was cool getting there and back, but that's more my own turf and so I don't stop to take many photos. The La Salle mountain road from Moab to Gateway, CO was muddy and rutted and a challenge. It's 10 or more miles of clay up there, and if it's wet, you're in for trouble. It had rained the day before. We made it, but it was slow. Too much pavement toasted my Tractionator RallZ front tire. The T7 worked awesome! Handled really well even with my oversized load both on pavement and dirt.

Good riding in Colorado and Utah. Looks like you packed everything you might need for camping. Was it a camping trip?

Yes, planned for mostly camping. Ended up 2 nights camping in backcountry, and 2 nights hotels. One planned camp day hit rain in the aft/eve so did hotel instead of a rainy camp.
