Yamaha heated grips discontinued?

Hi everyone

I ordered a set of heated grips online from Yamaha Canada, initially the order was accepted and all was good. Today I received a message from them stating they had cancelled the order because the Grip Warmer Kit had been "Discontinued". Seems like an unusual thing to discontinue or could it mean there is a new kit in the works?

You aren't missing much...They don't get warm, let alone hot, even when 'tuned'. Had them on my FZ10, and would buy them again. I'm running Oxfords and will never look back.

They did you a favor.  They suck.  Not hot (well one side isn't) & PITA to even get them turned on.  Button is defective.

When I bought my bike, they said they were halting sales due to many issues, so they could be assessed.

Thanks for that. I'll order a set. I had them on my bikes in NZ and what a difference they made! I'd spent over 40 years on bikes before I became a convert. If only I'd had some through those cold winter mornings riding to work everyday.
