Yamaha Crash Bars

Installed the Yamaha crash bars this weekend. Seems to be a good, well designed kit. Have nothing else to compare it to, so take it with a grain of salt. Then put that salt on the rim of a glass and add tequila.

I really like the look and protection of the OEM crash bars, but they have one design flaw.  Why put the horizontal brace directly above the lower fairing fastener?  It's a pain in the ass to remove the plastics with the crash bars in place.  Possible, but a pain.

Oh I don't know, I just used a 8mm spanner, not the torx driver on that lower fairing bolt.  I highly recommend these bars, and NOT the SWmotech ones I tried to fit first and ended up sending back.  They have their own replacement head bolts which were looser in the head than the OEM bolts, and the cross bar rubbed on my 2022 pipes.
