Continental tire recall

one wheel drive

Recommended Posts

I bought a TKC80 front tire and now I find out they're under a recall. Something about a tread separation issue.

Several other Continental motorcycle tires are under the same recall. Conti says they'll make good on new tires if you fill out paperwork and send photos. You can call them at 888 799-2168.

Here's a list of the tire models and production dates affected:

I also bought one this spring just before they announced the recall.

I put it on anyway and I am currently trying to wear it out this summer.

I suspect the recall will be in effect for a while and I will try to do the replacement before winter and hopefully have a new tire for next spring.

No visible signs of issues with it so far.
