Just saw this posted...looks like the 150/70 2Track has been recalled. "The tread layer was improperly cured, which can result in sections of tread detaching from the tire."

A timely warning about running some narrow-beaded tires on a 4" rim like the Motoz 140's. Not all tires will be affected like this, apparently the Pirelli Scorpion Rally 140 is fine, so will depend on the tire or the brand. This happened to me a few months into ownership before I changed to a narrower 2.5" Excel rear rim. The tire went flat from a drill bit. Mid corner the tire pulled off the bead, the rear went very loose and could have thrown me off. I will say though that I am big fan of the 140x18 Motoz Desert HT. I now run them on a 2.5"x18 rim and get about 5-6000 kilometers out of them before they have squ…

Hey! I changed tyres to Heidenau K60 Ranger. Old worked fine, just worn out. Now front tyre is starting to pump. Road was completly flat. Pumping is on at speed 55.....65 kmh and its very intensive. Visuallyy everyting is correct. What can cause this behavior? Change preoces was pretty smooth. No problems there.

Hello all! I need help finding a tyre vendor. I live in Southeast Alaska, and it would be cheaper for Rocky Mountain Moto to ship to Australia than to me. So, who do you use? And why you're at it, what tyres & tubes are you running?

Looking for some advice on Tires. I have the Stock 2024 Pirellis. I'm looking for more of an 80/20 or 70/30 Tire. The Continental TKC 70 is not available anywhere. So I'm looking at the michelin anakee adventure tires. Does anyone have experience with either?

Hello again! I'd like to share my findings regarding my favorite dualsport tire combo, the Motoz Rallz rear and the Motoz DualVenture (DV) front. More specifically the differences between the tubeless (TL) and the tubetype (TT) versions. I recently converted my rear rim from 4" to 2.5" in order to accommodate the TT 140/80-18 Rallz tire and I can confidently say it's been one the biggest performance upgrades I've made, second only to suspension. Given that the TT Rallz is over $100 cheaper than the TL version, I would consider this a "budget" upgrade. Let's get into it. Nerdy stuff first... Starting with the front: -The TT DV tire is about 1.5 lbs lighter than the TL v…

Hey all, I have a 2021 T7, great bike. I am running a Dunlop Trailmaster front tire, which I’ve run several times now. However, at high speed the front end seems to get unstable. This is new and very disconcerting. There are no visible defects, the tire is installed in right rotational direction, no damage to rim. Any ideas? Thanks!

Good on RMATV. I just received my 2 sets of tires and received an email from them stating I was eligible for a rebate from Bridgestone. I hadn't seen the rebate that runs through June 30th, but their email alerted me of it. Just wanted to pass this along that Rocky took care of me again and got my order to me quickly. https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/l/2025-bridgestone-spring-rebate-form#Body

Purchase a Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid and have had it a few months. Absolutely love the bike. Received my new off road set of wheels this week and put on a set on GoldenTyres 823 for off road use (tubeless). I want to put dedicated road tyres on the wheels that came with the bike for going to and from work that excel in the wet. Queensland often gets afternoon storms so heading in during the morning it is blue skies but wet coming home. Done a number of searches but can't seem to find anyone running road tyres, most appear to be running road orientated adventure tyres. Was thinking the Michelin Commander II as th…

Is there anywhere in the States that sells Tubeless rims for the Tenere? The only ones I have found are from China and with the current Taxes and Tariffs they are extremely expensive. Thanks

Hi all, I bent my front rim in two places. My mechanic can delace and relace the spokes and reuse the inner parts, but I have to get a rim. My '21 has a 21" 1.85 rim and is black. Any suggestions? I have been directed to Buchanan Wheel in California and they make their own SunRims and will drill the spoke holes as per manufacturers specs. Cost for black is $355USD plus shipping. I am located in Victoria BC so something Canadian would be preferable, but will order from anywhere. OR does someone have a stock front wheel that is in good shape and kicking around that they would like to sell? Would have to be black. Thanks in advance.

Since I’m just about ready for a new back tire, I thought I’d give a little synopsis. Front - 90/90-21 Rear - 140/80-18 First off, I have about 1500ish miles on this set so far. Now when I say that, think 50% highway, 50% double/single track with a TON of rocks. The rear gets a little chewed up over here in Idaho. Anyway, I love these, especially the rear. It hooks up so well in the nasty stuff. The front is also really really good off road, and it looks brand new still. What the front isn’t so good at is the highway. It’s not that bad, and if you live in a state that has a 65mph cap, you are good to go with this set. But… if you live somewhere …

Covering Whitehorse, Yukon, amd southeastern Alaska (Denali. CHICKEN,EAGLE) in June on the main roads, which are gravel. Can anyone recommend the best tires on the T7 for this type of riding ? METZLER KAROOS look about right- front tire is blocky. Looks like a dirt bike tire. Rear tire has large block paddles with lots of spacing in between. Given this profile, I think I'd have to be a bit careful on corners...probably not the best tires for railing a corner. Overall they are a 10/90 tire, so I'm leaning heavily toward the gravel side. Would appreciate feedback on these options, like the Anakees, Pirelli Scorpions (not the OEM ones bit the more offroad versio…

I see that Pirelli are now offering the Rally Racing in 150 section rear. SCORPION™ Rally - Motorcycle tire | Pirelli The above link has both the OEM fitted Pirelli (they call it Adventure Touring) and the Rally Racing. You need to select the Rally Racing button. Anyone have actual experience with the Rally Racing on the T700. I have been running Motoz (Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T 150/70-18) since I wore out the OEMs - on my third set now. I follow rideadv.com.au who run a tour company in Australia and their youtube videos are very informative. They have 300,000 kms on their fleet of T700s and he reviews lots of p…

When buying tires, I try to go local, but finding my favorite MotoZ brand is tough so I usually purchase them online. Rockymountainatvmc.com is my go to shop and tires I've received from them in the past have had manufacture dates that are usually less than 6 months old. The latest set I got last Friday were dated 47/23 for the front and 28/23 for the rear, which puts them at 10 months and 15 months respectively. I go through a set annually, so these at and past a year old aren't a big deal to me, but might be to a rider that goes many years on a set. This isn't a direct criticism of RMATV as my guess is the older tires I'm receiving are a result of our slow econom…

Check out the size difference between the tube-type and tubeless Motoz Tractionator Adventure. Both are 140/80r18. Left one is going on my DRZ, right one on the T7.

Hello fellow Tenere friends, so unfortunately while changing out the rear wheel tire on my Tenere 700, I broke one of the spoke nipples. Where can I find one or two of them without buying an entire set of 50 or so? I’ll be more than happy to pay for shipping if someone has few laying around without being used

Hi Everyone, Thinking about a longer trip away from civilization next year and am starting to do some preparation. I'm specifically thinking about how I can most efficiently replace a tire tube on the front or back wheel while I'm on a gravel road. 1. Am I laying the bike down on its side or am I carrying that cheater rod that allows me to prop up the swingarm to get the rear wheel off the ground? Would it even work on gravel? Could I even use a pannier to get the wheels up? Not sure they're up to the task... 2. I'm most certainly bringing an auto-inflator for getting air into the tire... 3. Will I need to do a chain alignment after the chang…

Hey everyone, This is a weird one. This morning I found a small piece of wire stuck in my stock Pirelli Scorpion rear tyre (new bike, still on stock tyres). I pulled it out, and it seemed fairly short. It was stuck in the thickest part of the tread (ie one of the transverse knobs). I put a little spit on the hole and it bubbled with tiny little bubbles. I put spit on it again about 10 minutes later and there were no bubbles. I rode two hours on it and it doesn't seem to have deflated at all (I would have checked the pressure, but I am still waiting on a pressure gauge to arrive in the mail. You cannot buy them in a store in all of Milan, It…

What are the best all around tires for the T7? I'm looking for something that has good tread life and is reasonably good in the dirt. What tire brand/model comes on the US bikes? Thanks ADMIN EDIT: Since this thread is getting alot of views on Google search, I thought I would drop some links to Revzilla for the most popular tire choices. So I'm down to 4mm on my £235 Motoz 150/70 18" Desert (and now have a thorn in them) after riding down to the Vince in Oliana from Edinburgh and numerous RallyMoto's at Kielder. I saw a couple of T7's wearing Michelin Enduro Medium 140/80 18's in Tunisia a few weeks ago. I like the look of the new £95 2024 version, especially especially as they claim "Better grip and traction when new (+22%) and even when worn (+12%) thanks to an innovative tread pattern: V-shape blocks, more contact patch with the ground, and a new generation of carbon black." I'm also thinking of running them with the "NEW Michelin BIB Mousse M14S Rear 18″ priced at …

Hello all, on my last tyre change, I found a bit of play in the LH rear wheel bearing. When I put a new bearing it dropped in with no force required and actually still has the tiniest bit of play. Last time I had that bearing out was when it failed in a Swedish forest and changed it there on the side of the road so I fully accept there's a good chance I fucked the hub up then (although I don't remember it just dropping in). I've done a good 10k miles since then and it was fine. Can I just sanity check that it isn't supposed to just slip in easily. I guess my bet is to peen the inner face with a punch so it goes in with a bit of resistance to fitti…

So I had a rear, brake side wheel bearing failure at the weekend at 13,500 ish miles. One of the bearing balls broke into 3 parts and there was a lot of muck in there but no lube left. New parts are on order from Off The Road but has anyone else had issues with the bearing or seals failing what seems like fairly early in the bike's life? Problem or bad luck? Hubs have never been pressure washed and it's a 2019 bike for reference. Cheers Harv
