abba skylift

hi all,

i decided to treat my other half (take that how you will) to an abba skylift. not cheap but great bit of kit. makes jobs easier on my old back .

anyway the point of this memo is.....

i bought the skylift primarily so i could remove the swinging arm , with extra lifting bosses purchased, due to play in those bearings.  i offered the lift up to the bike and bugga. i realised you cant get the shaft out. it fouls the lifting frame. so i thought ,easy just turn the frame round and use from the reverse side. found the rear wheel fouls the lifting frame legs. i worked around this ok. the other issue then is ,you cannot then use the engine alignment tool. that was easily overcome with a modified 10mm bolt (17mm head filed down to 15mm hex.). the skylift in all other respects works a treat. the rear wheel was so easy to fit at waste high rather than a couple of inches off the floor. worth it....you bet.
