Bike won't start after small crash..

Does your bike have a red blinking LED the first 24 hours after taking the key out?
It can be that they left that working even without a immobilizer but with one it's to show it's active.

My USA model '21 has no immobilizer and no LED thank goodness! If that changes and they add an immobilizer on newer models here I'll probably never part with the one I have.

back in the day I was on a kawasaki Z1R and I had fitted a little blinking LED at the top of the dash.  I was at this party and went out front for a piss and to check on the bike, as you do.  There was a group of young guys standing around it and as I came up one of them reached out to feel the throttle.  "Don't" said one of the others "it's got an alarm!"  He quickly withdrew his hand and I wandered back into the shadows happy that I'd spent the $8 on it.

 

Alarms make sense, immobilizers not so except on cars.
