Not bad for a guy who admittedly doesn't have much desert riding experience on a 240 kg bike!

He was also 1st in the 700cc group.  The only KTM in the 700cc group finished in 36th overall.

Somehow I had missed this race.

Aprilia 660 takes 1st followed by 2 T7s

Pol was 3rd.

Interesting that this race has been run in the shadow of Dakar without incident.

Makes you wonder how much a country is paying to host Dakar.

Alcohol! No good story starts with a salad.
