I prefer none.
Why? Noting to hook and skid on.
If you don't go offroad other than an occasionality fire or gravel road it's an convenience but when you go a bit more technical it soon becomes a nuisance.

As Ray said, it’s a double edged sword. Great for maintenance and repairs, might be in the way when riding dirt. If you commute a lot it’s worth it. Also great for swingarm removal. I’ve got the oem one and I may remove/shorten the arm on it. I’d probably take it off and keep it handy if I had loads of green lanes around here.

I never had problems with centerstand when riding offroad.

I went for sw- motech, cheaper and it built smaller. Easy to pull the bike on the centerstand.

Save the weight and extended appendage, carry a trail stand instead for away from home maintenance.   Track stands work well for at home repairs and can be used front or rear. Even on the street if ridden aggressively,  the center stand touching down can ruin your day.

I have the Hepco Becker centerstand. It tucks up almost as well as the OEM side stand.  The first thing I drag in corners is my boots, though I do have wider and lower foot pegs.

yeah, I saw a video where they complained the foot lever on Yamaha OEM version sticks out a little too far.

On another video, someone said the sw motech version was lighter by 2 kilo (sounds like a lot).

I’m on the fence whether to install one or not.

I would also love to remove or shorten the (long) arm on the OEM center stand.  What would be ideal is if I could remove it entirely, then pop it back on when its needed.  Yet another situation in which it would be great if I knew how to weld!

Same for me, it is really compact.

It's my first center stand, so I can't compare its ease of operation. But when using proper technique, it's easy to put her up.
