Mounting kriega 18l to hard rack

Wondering what you folks are doing for layout when mounting your kriega 18’s to a set of side racks like the adventure spec. Not the piped ones but the flat steel platesimage.jpg.a40e22449cf281a4d1b3241a70bfbdee.jpgimage.jpg.5323ea84d0d2debffc6d75573995647a.jpgimage.jpg.665d92bc6256488bdd63341ac2ec5ba0.jpg

Even though mine are on hoops mike, I would offer the suggestion of adding the mini cam straps from bag to bag over the seat. The straps on the frames can hold them tight to the bike, but the cam straps add lift and firms everything up. If the side plates are small, you could even get away with just using the bottom straps to mount the bags to the frame and the tops just to the cam straps.
ps just realised this sounds like a bra commercial.

Haven't got Kriega bags yet, but what I have found that works well, with my old luggage, is short bits of velcro tape (male one side female the other) strategically looped through bag and rack. You can also use it around the front break lever when picking the bike off the deck.

I went bag to bag across the top, routed it under the 2up seat, guess that doesn’t really show in the picture. Definitely firms things up.

 Pretty much what you did.

Mine is like this.

The OS12s are fine for commuting duty but too small for touring. Thinking about getting some OS18s for longer trips and repositioning the 12s.

I think I will look into getting a few additional straps. Thinking when bags are fully expanded there won’t be enough length to reach across.
Definitely a work in progress.
Still looking around at products for that perfect top bag for week+trips.

Iam planning 10 days trip to scotland want to get Kriega OS 18 but cant decide R&G or Adventure-Spec rear side Rack

I went through OVLK dude that sells out of Poland on Facebook. Very easy to deal with, shipping was quick to west coast of Canada, and product is beauty.

I wouldn't agonize over that decision since neither is a bad choice. In the interest of complicating your decision, also consider the Kreiga OS Base, especially if running the Kreiga OS bags is your prime reason for wanting small side racks.

I have a T700 specific OS-Base that I'd be willing to sell in the USA.  PM me if interested.
