DIY Tenere 700 Spark Plug change and Gap, NGK LMAR8A-9S

Time to change spark plugs? Well, here ya go.  Im an American, do not have my bike yet. When I have it, I will make up a detailed video on this process. For now, here are instructions from the Service Manual.  Plus a couple links for sparkplugs from Amazon.  Cheaper than dealer. 

 

Interval Change plugs every 20,000 KM/12000 Miles

 

Sparkplug is NGK/LMAR8A-9  $20.00  or, NGK/LMAR8A-9S $11.15 and fits/works fine, is what the US dealers often stock.  

 

Gap is 0.8–0.9 mm (0.031–0.035 in)

 

Time to remove the seat

But when changing spark plugs I’d rather buy iridium type.

Ngk LMAR8BI-9. Long life and less maintenance.

Hi , I put irridium spark plugs on my T7 and made a video . These spark plugs are the same than DL1000 Vstrom ( last models )
