Magnetic Compass?

I don't mind not having a GPS, but it would be nice to have a compass mounted up front someplace. I see there are a few options. Any recommendations?

I like mine as a backup, in my tank bag, seen thru the clear map pocket on the top

I would go with the above, a good map compass, likes of a silva and either in tank bag or jacket pocket.

 

Issue i see with bike mounted is vibration plus most are just cheap button style.

 

If don't have tank bag, maybe a cheapo handlebar bag and compass in there

I have sometimes a silva compass in the tankbag, no experience with one on the bike.
