I bet that most people forget to clean the Air filter check hose at 600 miles, including dealers. lol

Maintenance intervals in Thailand are slightly different with time intervals also specified for each service - 1,000km/1 month, 7,000km/6 months, 13,000km/12 months and so on rather than every 10,000km.

So looks like the US might have shorter service intervals too.

 

Any idea if there's any logic behind that?

It's a difference from 6000 to 4000 miles. That's more than a rounding error.

Jup, rounded to the next convention value. No need to be anal about those numbers. The bike won't fall apart if you don't service by that km/mileage.

They are a pretty lose guideline. If you ride a bunch off road and/or thrash on it you should service it more often.
