Racks compatibility

Hey there!

I am posting this cause i couldn't find something about the compatibility between SW Motech rear rack and Outback motortek pannier rack.

 

I state that I bought the Outback motorteck rack some months ago, and i had to bend them a little for currect alignment.

 

Now i had to install the SW Motech rear rack, and surprisingly they fit quite well.

I just had to widen the outback motorteck rack about 3-4mm per side, nothing noticible and it can be done by hand.

I used the SW Motech spacers, and i bought some longer screws (+5mm longer compared to the provided SW Motech ones)

 

I will add some pics (where i had not yet torqued the screws as you can see)

Good info mate.

 

I've got the motortreck tacks and adventure spec rack. The fit together but I don't like how high the AS rack sits on the bike.  Yours looks much better
