NiceCNC aluminium footpegs, strong enough?

Are footpegs in cast aluminium significantly weaker than steel?

 

I'm considering buying the NiceCNC ones:

Not clicked on link but are you sure they are aluminium?  Looks too thin for that. Stainless maybe? 

I've seen aluminium snap on rocks.

I have a couple of their products and they are really nice.  I would guess it is machined stainless.
