New Rubber protection/ Tank Grips for the T7 coming out August 1st.

From TechSpec

Yamaha Ténéré 700, TechSpec Gripster Tank Grips will be available on August 1st.
Body and weight control are essential techniques for both aggressive riding as well as casual touring. By gripping the tank with your legs, you improve overall control of your body motion, weight distribution, and posture during every aspect of riding, enabling you to ride longer and more comfortably. With proper leg grip, you can maintain correct body positioning during acceleration, cornering, and braking while keeping stress off of your wrists and elbows.

I'll more than likely get the Tech Spec side grips when they go up for sale.

They have more coverage than the OEM with that third piece that covers the lower panel and they look really nice.

This is awesome news.  I was JUST going to reach out to them to see if/when they will have an offering for the T7.  I use TechSpec on ALL my bikes.  Love their products!

Maybe a group buy for them?

No, it is  tape dedicated  to  motocross bikes made in Italy by Blackbird Racing. It cost me something about 20 euro.

These still hanging on ok Matth.  A lot of the aftermarket ones, ALL the ones I've seen, don't have the lower piece like these OEM grips.

Does anyone have opinions on getting these from China off of Amazon?  Has anyone done that? $30 for the two side panels both L and R.  Seems like a good price.  Link should bring you to the product listing.

I am very anti-chinese knock- offs. Buying them just feeds a counterfeit economy. Same as buying fake Oakleys of Lacoste .........
