Ténéré 700 Rear Axle Nut/Locking Washer...

The same happened last week. 2021 t7.  Had to cut the nut off and the threads were ruined. Ordered new axle and lock nut…per the dealer, parts were superseded meaning there was update or revisions to the old axle and nut. I reinstalled with new parts and used anti seize.  Will monitor.

I bought a Titanium nut and made sure my axle thread was cleaned up

i use different axle adjuster blocks too, from Gilles as the Yamaha supplied ones are crap and too sloppy/imprecise

By looking at the pictures of the threadstarter (first page) I ask myself if he's capable of proper handling of tools. Nuts, bolts and other parts are damaged. I wonder whether he owns a proper torque wrench and metrical tools. Just my 2 ¢

well amigo... it's happened to a bunch of us now.  Oh and I have a Snap-on torque wrench by the way.  For adventure bikes I've owned a Tiger 800, 2 f800GS, 1 800GSA, 1 KTM 640, 1ktm 690,  2 Africa Twins. Wr250, ktm 500  And then a lot of sportbikes.  1st time I've had this happen to me.

Think what you want, I just hope they updated and fixed the parts
