Algeria 🇩🇿 Trip

Gon Castro

Recommended Posts

Hi, just arrived from a wonderful trip in Algeria 🇩🇿

Algeria is not a usually destination because the visa is difficult, but I was lucky.

Me and my wife rode 3.500 kilometers (2.200 miles), she ride a BMW and I ride a Tenere (of course 😁).

Algeria is the biggest country in Africa, and have many places to visit.

Best was the people, very, very friendly, they dont see tourist, and the get surprised with us, everybody wanted take pictures with us.

Police was not a problem, the stop you many times, but no problem, they was kind with us.

Well, I took many pictures, and I will post some.

All the pictures are in my Facebook album with better quality here:

Hi, idiom in Algeria is French or Arab, nobody speak English, but in the end, you manage to understand yourself with people. Road conditions are mostly ok, some parts of the route have a very bad quality asphalt like this:

If you want see some interesting places like El Gour in Brezina, you have to ride off road with some sand.

Some small towns have no asphalt, but is easy.

No special requirements for driving in small towns.

A special place to visit is El Gour, in Brezina. It reminded me to Monument Vally, but without tourists, an amazing place. You have to ride with some sand, but it's worth it.
