Thanks! It's for this guy, Surak:

The carrier is just sitting on the bike now, but tomorrow I'm going to get a mount fabricated. We're coming from a 1290, but both have the BDCW Helo Pad, so it should be pretty easy to adapt. I'll be posting a build thread here in the next week or so.

Today was my third day of ownership so I rode 236 miles to celebrate. I’ll stop posting every time I ride but you can sort of tell we’re a good match 😉

I'm starting to read other posts and learning a lot. I can feel some questions coming on now too.

Cheers

Next time you're up at Mt. Hamilton, if you haven't yet ridden Mines Rd. it's a treat of twisty pavement.   Continue over the backside east on 130, then straight, instead of taking the Del Porto Cyn right turn that would keep you on 130. Keep you head on a swivel, especially weekends as EMS makes calls out there a bit to often for corner cutters.

No kidding! I live in Livermore so my default ride is a hundred mile loop from home up Mines to The Junction then up Mt Hamilton. And yes, I told my riding buddy yesterday that I want to take him up there but that he has to promise not to cut any corners on his KTM, we read about head ons a bit too often on that road (which is one lane for 10 miles).

Cheers

Fantastic. Love that you guys are getting bikes too. After I got mine I keep hearing they are really hard to find, "how did you get that!" so very cool. I have been riding and wrenching.

1st post here, so let me introduce myself: George from Gothenburg-Sweden.

Had several KTMs and Husqvarna that last 10 years but got fed up with constant minor issues and decided to move forward in life by selecting Tenere world raid new model.

Welcome to the club!

Good choice, the HP Corse looks great on the black model.

Yesterday, I sat on a WR for the first time - the seat is great, nice flat profile, and the wider tank was not a problem in my usual seating position.
