Other bikes in the garage

Always good to see other bikes and why we own them.

I will start with picture of my T7 alongside my indian scout.

The T7 you all know about, great fun, off road, on road, commuting.

The Indian, look at the plush rear seat, much easier for trips with the wife. It's also really cool and NOT a harley 😀.

The T7 for more serious dirt work and more fun/less work on BDRs, etc., and the R1200GS for two up, longer distance comfort, etc.  I feel very lucky to own two such superlative bikes with similar yet different missions.

1985 Yamaha FJ600 that I bought new in 1986.  It's stock except for Napoleon bar end mirrors sourced from Japan, fork springs and a K&N air filter.  The decals on the fork legs cover damage that a safety inspector did with a razor blade when he removed the sticker from a previous year.

@Moto X those wheels look familiar.  Check out mine a few posts back.

Great looking bike!  I had a R5 that I converted to a café racer a few decades ago.  What a fun bike!

@Dougie Looking good!  Are the reds an exact match?  They look very close between the two bikes. Also, is the front fender lip an oem item?

the garage is full - full - fuller - so the T7 was my latest purchase - and for the moment the last.

So what do I have in the garage:

Honda Transalp PD10 1997

Honda Africa Twin RD07 2000

Triumph Street Triple 675 R

Honda CBR 1000 RR (trackbike)

Honda CBR 929 RR (2nd trackbike)

not in the picture:

Honda CB600S 1997

Honda GL1000 1977

and yes - you can see a pattern - a lot of Honda's...

They’re pretty close. But she was repainted when I rebuilt her years ago. I was going to get the stickers for the rally as they seem closer than most aftermarket. Fender lip is original (but repainted too).
looking closer at it, just realised it’s the old photo though, before I changed the seat, exhaust, racks, screen, grips, bash plate and centrestand 😂

I guess I need to update this post from August.

Thanks to the fact that I was riding the T7 almost all the time, the GS just sat in the corner of the garage more and more. I've been down that road before and knew it meant time for a change, so last month the GS was traded on a 2013 R1200RT. Unlike with the GS no overlap between bikes anymore, and with winter approaching this ol' man is enjoying the heated seat and grips and the power windshield.
