Battery installed, ticking sounds

Hey guys,

 

I just received my T7 and after I stalled the OEM Yuasa battery, I tried to start the bike and the display screen comes on but engine won’t start, instead when I press the start button, I hear a ticking sounds near the battery.

 

please if anyone can advice me what it is. Is it normal? Or is there something wrong?

@Rickywt Try checking the ground strap for continuity and battery voltage.   12 hrs on the charger might be needed to get the battery fully charged.

Thanks! I am charging the battery atm. Its been about 8 hours charging, I will keep it for 12 hours. i hope my battery isnt faulty. I will get back to you

Make sure all your connections are tight.

 

If after charging you still have issues, check battery with a "load tester" to be sure all is well with it. There was a guy a while back with a bad cell in his battery.

What? No dealer PDI? Sounds like low battery voltage. Did you charge the battery?

As written on the battery. 4.5A for 1-hour or 0.9A for 5-hours
