Mini rear rack

I put my order in a couple days ago.  Ordered the luggage plate that I’ll install Givi hardware on.   I was wondering how the grab handles might integrate with the luggage plate but wasn’t able to obtain photos (I tried asking B&B), so I skipped them.  The idea is to carry a top box around town and leave it off in the backcountry.

I’m looking forward to a slick, strong, lightweight setup.  I just wish B&B would switch to an anodized finish rather than the black goop coating.

1 weekend, 2 weekend... Tenere' time, right?  B&B rack and Camel Tail tidy are on.  Directions on both are excellent but on the rack I would hand start all 6 bolts by hand first, then tighten the front side bolts first, then the rear side bolts and finally the bracket bolts - don't do them first, there's enough slack in the bracket bolt location that you could easily tighten that, put on your plastics, and find out you can't line up the front side bolts. Then you take the side bolts and rack off, put on your rear plastic, and reinstall the rack. It doesn't really take any extra time. I haven't made my mind up on what kind of LEDs I want and I'll be honest the yellow ones don't look bad for now.... at least until I bust them up.  Dremel cutting wheel did a beautiful job, the plastic looks like it was made that way.

Next up will be to fit my Reckless80 !

Here's a pic of the wheel, plus the handles to answer a previous question on the rack plate option, I can't imagine they wouldn't be compatible.  Which brings up another thing, there are three threaded holes in the top, M8x1.25. Same as those stock tie downs. To keep the holes clean and fresh I'm going to put some button heads in them.

OK, guys, here's some pics of my Reckless80 empty without the beavertails or 20L drybag.  Until I need it, my 6.5 Enduristan will do (sacrilege, right?😂). On top I can easily go to the 20L with beavertails or my MM Scout 50L. For much of my daily needs the empty MM side pouches will do, drybags if rain is forecast, just stuff crap in there.  Anyways, check out how I tied it down, I went back further than you have to because I like to move around on my seat.  I tied off the rear mounting straps incase a latch gets pushed in but if any two are tight it won't move. I can grab any part of that harness and move the bike, it doesn't move in the slightest!  No words can say how anally awesome the MM stuff is. To get to the seat, you just undo the footpegs straps and flip the harness up, seat comes off easy then. Lots of rear rack still left to use, too!

Oh, yeah, all that thick gooey black coating on the B&B is GREAT for straps, there will be no wear ever. Also, the footpegs are very smooth and I expect no wear the way I routed them. I think the triangular tie down is more solid. Once all of this is proven, I'll be cutting off a lot of unneeded strap length! I tried 4 other options on the three back straps, there's lots of ways to tie it down, I was trying to keep the rack surface as free and useful as possible.

Anyone happen to know if the the Yamaha mono seat rack is compatible with the b&b compact rack?

Sorry I can't answer directly. I just installed the mono seat rack but had to trim the rear corners to fit my Motoes top rack. I have the top and side racks very similar to AdvenSpec.

This is the one I got, I am not planning on having passenger but if I do its only 4 bolts to remove, but I like the extra length and having the mass closer to the center of the bike.
