Doesn't seem to be any lateral traction in the snotty mud, Mitas e07 and TKC 80's are far better, but it just makes the riding more interesting, doesn't stop any riding from going on yet!

SO have been running the E07'+s for 4500kms and they are great on gravel/hardpack/wet sand, and crap on mud and loose sand. Going for E09's next time. Rated for our bikes weight and considered a 20/80 tire. E12's probably would work, but like Ktmmitch stated above, should probably be run on a narrower rim .757115394_MitasTireGuide.thumb.JPG.8df95e09062b7cabfbd6f584a9555d13.JPG

E 09's are great offroad, but wear out fast if you do any road riding at all.

I had E-09 rear tire on my Dr650,  it's good off road in dry conditions, it's durable riding on road especially  Dakar version with yellow stripe. It's not easy to change the tube manually because the rubber of the E-09 is hard like a kind of plastic.

Tread pattern for mainly off-road riding. Excellent traction off-road and good stability on dry and wet roads.

Thinking about going Pirelli MT 21 90/90-21 and 140/80-18. I need something for wet off-road conditions and I ride speed limit on road anyway.

Anyone try the 140 Kenda Big Block...jeez, it’s around $70-80 for the 140 size. I think In the T700 review that Jimmy Lewis did, he was running the Big Blocks...not sure what size he was using.

I've gone through easily a dozen of the D606 and MT21. Both are decent tires. The D606 lasts longer, but the Pirelli I felt grabbed a bit better in dirt, just barely. Not as hard as a compound as the Dunlop, hence why they where faster. Friend and I each put D606's and MT21 on the same bikes, on the same day and then did a 650 mixed ride together. The wear on the Perelli after the exact side by side ride was soooooo much more. Very interesting.

I've since tried the Tractionator RallZ with a 140 in the back and these are fantastic tires. EXCELLENT traction at high speed on dirt on the 700 and good grip on pavement for such an aggressive tire. Better than both the D606 and MT21 and I believe that is due to the silica in them. Very impressed so far. Only have 400 miles not them but zero wear so far. Time will tell.

Has anyone used a Shinko Crossfly 805 rear yet?  I am getting close to new tire time

and also plan on Outex sealing the rear wheel when changing tires.

Anyone going the 140 you need to consider elongating the valve hole, because in lower PSI/BAR pressure situations it can slip around the rim under acceleration and could actually take off or damage the valve resulting in new tube fitting on the trail.  This advice came from a guy I met recently on a 320 km off road adventure, he was using the 140 and upon chatting to him ... he was useful, having been a 10 x Australian 24hr endurance champion and Paris Dakar finisher.  I was in awesome company!

Any issues with the cheaper tube type 140 tractionator adventure? The motoz website says the 140 tube type is specifically for smaller bikes and the tubeless 140 or 150 are for adventure bikes.

Thanks! Looks like the 140 tube type isn't the best option for our bikes. At the same time, I don't want to fight the stiffer 150 tire off-road in a puncture situation. Guess I'll be exploring other options. Too bad really, the tractionator adventure checks most of my boxes.

@johnnygoluckyI'll let you know in the not too distant future. I just ordered a set of MotoZ Tractionator RallyZ, 90/90/21 & 140/80/18. If nothing else, it'll at least look badass!

Designed by off road riders, for off road riders, for serious off road traction. It is technically 25% stronger than many other adventure tires. Additionally the tread is deeper than most adventure tires. Special compound designed to withstand the harshest of conditions...

How did that RallyZ work out for you? Like it? Miles??

Unfortunately weather changed the timing of my North Rim trip to at least late spring so I haven't yet spooned them on.  I'm in the process of trying to run out the Pirellies on pavement as things dirt wise around my riding areas are really muddy/ snowy for a while longer.  Also, the Mrs. has expressed interest in being my pillion again so I'm leaving the road tires on a bit longer. 👍

Mitas E07+ tires are 50/50  Go here https://www.mitas-moto.com/en/products/motorcycle--trail--tires

This will give you a good idea  what Mitas motorcycle tires are about and a chart to see the on road to off road ratio.

I like the one's without the + better, but they are hard to find anymore.

My next pair on deck to use up... E-07+ and TKC 80

I have a 140 scout without the center stripe on it now with a 1/2” lowering link to compensate for the taller tire. Going back to 150 on the Mitas.

Been very happy with the RallZ 140. Almost 800 miles on them and barely look worn. Decent on pavement and absolutely amazing on dirt. I wouldn't want to race a SM track on them, but that's not their intension. They hold tarmac just fine and absolutely grab Earth. IMG_0373.jpg.12f1d34fd185e4fcc4a9be38bfa1e67a.jpg

I've got a 140/80 anakee wild and it's really good on the road but not so great off road. Also wears quite fast. It's on its way out after 1500 miles. Has been genuine 50/50 on/off winter road use with off road being the priority bit.  Winter here means wet roads and slippery rocks and occasional snow - not actually too much mud. 140 hasn't been a problem although it feels a slightly weird tipping into turns. I think I'm going to try a 150 Mitas E10 as my next victim.

Anyone tried this with the Anakee Wilds?

These are recommended as the preferred alternative in the Yamaha T7 owners manual...

Also just installed Annakee Wilds with 140 rear.  Have to agree with a previous post, it does feel a little weird tipping over into turns (glad it’s not just me!).

While I was in there I also sealed up the rear, Permatex “the right stuff” sealant and 3M tape. Took my time with every step, so far so good.

I’m close to needing new tires and a week long TET trip in Norway.

It seems established that running a 140 rear is no problem on thr T7 - does that mean I can go out and buy pretty much any 140/80 tire? I understand different tires will have different longevity etc.

As an example, I can get a 140/80 rear Metzeler mc360 mid-soft for 50% off. I could buy 5 of those for the price of a Motoz adv in 150/70 😅

Thanks fellas!
