My computer mount has been working really well.  I just finished a 9 day ride on the southern half of the GDR.  Now that I proved out the design, I went ahead and iterated on my design a bit.  It's not as wide now, I made counter sinks for the screw heads, and I improved the clamps so they are stronger and won't break.  With rev three I'm planning on making the quarter turn mount removable so you can attach a quarter turn mount for a Garmin device as well.  Here's rev 2:

If you have ideas of parts that you think could be designed and printed, let me know.  Maybe I'll try it out....

Need to calibrate a few settings to minimize the string but had decent luck with TPU for a nice flexible keychain

The second attempt came out a bit better

I had some time and got inspired after watching some tutorials on Youtube for Tinkercad.

It printed well and feels strong but testing will tell (which I haven't done yet - next weekend two day group ride)

Should be great as is for those doing mostly bitumen and will allow the dirt riders to add a prefilter 😉

I combined/remixed two previous works to have the best of both worlds. Shadetherapper MT07 airbox cover for the K&N filter https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4860476 Alpha_Wolf's FZ-07 Air Intake...

anyone designed a swing arm protector?  I know T700Ralley in the UK makes plastics and billet ones, but shipping for the UK is crazy, and it seems like an easy print.  If no one has one, I'll work on my own this weekend.

That looks great! Did you do any tests on the bike yet?

Not yet I just printed the last component last night I need to run by Fastenal today and get some 30 mm M8 bolts and I'll get it mounted to the bike

Do you have a link to the part I'll take a look at it see if I can redesign it to print it

Currently printing out another tension knob that will accept a nylock nut

total hardware needed for the angle mount is

2x M8/100 hex head bolts

3x M8/30 pan head

5x M8 nylock nuts

Can also use 5/16" x 4", and 5/16 x 1.25"

I'm going to try to get out this weekend for some trail testing if my schedule permits.

What a great idea.  That sure looks like an ugly scar on the swing arm that probably costs lots to fix.  I can't stand to look.  Thanks for that link.

The fix is about 10 bucks worth of JB Weld and a rattle can. 🙂

Does anybody here have the full 3D model of the T7 on hand? If not, it's available online so maybe we could share the cost.

Hi Thriller, Please share if it was free. I can't find one anywhere.

I would really like to print one for my bike.

I absolutely would share it. That is if I can find it. I looked everywhere including on my printer to see what the file was called but was not able to find anything. I must’ve deleted it. If anybody knows what the file was called I can search for it a different way. Sorry

Well this was bothering me that I could not find it. I went back to the printer to check through the 102 items I printed and found the guard. It was called MAIN_BODY.gx. went back to the computer and was not able to find it till I went to the deleted items and found it. I can not attach the file here because it does not accept that type of file but if you send me a pm with your email address I can send the 3 files. You would also need the 3 stand offs. Two of the longer ones.
