As Neil said, this type of pad is really really good at fixing an uncomfortable seat.  Simply  cut out the stock foam and replace it with the correct size piece of this type of gel seat cushion and put the stock cover back on.  It will allow you a more comfortable ride.

I just sit it on top of the seat concepts sport tour.  Most available have straps attached . Who says  you can’t make a T7 into a comfortable touring bike 🙂

Went from the o.e.m. medium seat to the o.e.m.  low seat.

I'm good up to about an hour and a half...  then I start to feel it.

Probably try the moto skivvy one day for longer rides.

Moto skiveez works for me. Your butt may vary …

unless I am above 60mph I stand anyway. I have two mirrors on the left - one set for standing and one set for sitting. Check your state laws before standing on the street.  CA OR yes, Washington No. etc.

Love the original rally seat. Best seat I have ever had.

Wow - good on you. It literally gave me pain after 10 minutes and I had 3 more days of riding to get home. The Rally seat with me wearing Moto Skiveez is a game changer.

This kind of open cell pad is pretty amazing - like sitting on a cotton ball - image.png.c8f84d37323384b14c829b767167fd1d.png

Broad question, but how much do these compress when you sit on them?

all the way down but are still soft and when you move a bit each cube rises back up. very comfortable.

The pix was for info - if you are buying one then get one that narrows at the gas tank.

I orders padded shorts, I haven’t rode with them yet, but I figured it will be a win win cheaper than a seat plus ass and  thigh protection if I fall.

I replaced the OEM pad with a GUTz racing instead.  SO much better!  It's wider and softer.

I'm comfy for a 1.5 hour ride, on the factory low seat.  My typical rides are about half that, so I am good.

I really must repair the straps on my Air Hawk.

I will be doing a 2 day trek to visit my cousin in the Southern Highlands next month.

Solo ride but will be looking for back roads.

Expect around 700km / day.

The Air Hawk looks like shite but when inflated correctly is very comfortable.

I used a canoe back pad that air inflated. Found when I just put a few light puffs into it, it levitated my butt off the saddle but not so much to bubble. The air filler finally wore out. Was a great comfort when it worked. Then used it as a pillow when camping. Dual purpose.
