Slamming and banging offroad

Ouchsss! Doesn't seems a good place to drop the bike. Or rather, lift it with so much mud, making it a suction effect and difficulting to put your feet on. Going alone is a good challenge. I hope you were accompanied.

No, I was riding alone.
Broke a couple of ribs in the fall, then had to straighten the exhaust bracket before riding it again.

Is adventure riding...

This is definitely the adventure, but it is what we like :-).

And going solo is more laborious and delicate, but still much more satisfying.

By the way, the exhaust bracket is the main defect of this bike :-(.

Awww man, that was such a beautiful bike....

Did you ever hear the John Hiatt song "Perfectly Good Guitar"?

There ought to be a law with no bail
Smash a guitar, and you go to jail
With no chance for early parole
You don't get out till you get some soul

Oh, it breaks my heart to see those stars
Smashing a perfectly good guitar
I don't know who they think they are
Smashing a perfectly good guitar

Late at night, the end of the road
He wished he still had the old guitar to hold
He'd rock it like a baby in his arms
Never let it come to any harm

@Ol'crazy

I agree the exhaust bracket is an issue, but it's issues can be drastically reduced by getting rid of these massive muffler. Changing to a muffler that is half the size and moving it up so it is attached to the bracket at the front of the muffler gets it out of the way enough so it very rarely make contact when you put the bike down on the right side.

You can see the difference in this photo with my wife's bike in the background with the stock muffler, you may note that I actually cut the stock link pipe off my damaged stock muffler and modified it to use the new slip-on muffler. This way I was able to move the slip-on higher up then when using the link pipe I had originally purchased, this also afforded the use of the stock heat shield.

@UtahJack

Certainly the T7's muffler is huge.
Your solution for a smaller, better-located muffler seems like a good idea, although I'm reluctant to change mine for now. In fact, since I bought the bike, I have also installed the OEM luggage rack like the ones on your wife's motorcycle, and on many occasions they have avoided bending the muffler bracket. In fact I put it precisely for that, because I have never thought about putting suitcases.

Thanks anyway for the idea.

Hahah...

I'm not that romantic.

I buy my bikes to ride them and sometimes it goes pear shaped.

You don't need to ride offroad to know this one didn't end well!

A friend and I playing on a hill called, "14 Beer".  I got good video of Jaden and pulled some screenshots. Jaden on the other hand, managed to get a bunch of video of a pine tree instead of me 🤨

It faired pretty well. The only damage (somehow) was a cracked handguard shield.

That’s good to hear.

I had my trusty old F650 Funduro I. That exact position. Flipped it “Trying” to clear some step ups near Stonyford. I had a Pelican 1550 on the rear cargo plate. It ripped off that whole part of the subframe. That is what led me to by my WRR a month after that trip.

I was able to weld the rack subframe back on and it turned out ok.

This was my first ever actual loop out on an ADV bike. Steep rocky hill climb with a few ledges on it. Somehow, I managed to only bracket a plastic hand guard shield.

LOL! I like it. That phrase makes me laugh every time I hear it so I started using it.

Lots of people were asking for a enduro style so we built one and have been testing it for a few months.

The local riding season is all but over. Managed to sneak in some time at the local enduro cross track. My wheelie game is generally awful but every once in awhile everything comes together nicely!

A few shots from a recent trip to Baja. Did my first ever wide open throttle beach run... 176km/hr (109mph) according to the display.
