Looks very much alike the CP bash plate I ordered from Off-The-Road.

I will provide pictures as soon as I get it installed. Hopefully this weekend.

Here is the HEED

...  4 mm aluminium plate and powder coated on black.  ... OR ... 2 mm steel plate and powder coated on black

It has 6 mounting points and protects the engine and exhaust manifolds.

Fyi there is a bit of a cross over between the heed bars and the sw bash plate.

Very happy with the quality of bot so happy to give the bash plate a bit of a trim

I don't like when there are folds rather than welded joints and I prefer not to have a big forward facing flat surface that will take a hit rather than try to deflect it. None of them are particularly strong nor are what they are bolted to so they need to be a good design. AS looks good.

That AXP one looks like it offers the best overall protection to me.

I am not so sure it is plastic so it will bend ... in case of a tip-over or drop it will hit the water pump so I am not sure how much protection that would be. It also depends on the trails you do since plastic can be cut if the rocks are sharp. I guess you save a bit of weight and the price is still up like the rest. AXP has 8mm HDPE and is probably less resistant in the long run compared to metal skidplates, I guess it depends on how hard and how often you hit. ... The AXP one is the one I would have chosen but not at their price.

I think the SWmotech provides the best coverage ... it is higher, nothing in center where all the mud and rocks hit, bolts are recessed, has a larger flat bottom allowing less pressure over a small area so probably better "glide" than narrow skidplates, it has extra attachement brackets and because of that we have a bit more room/air than a direct attach skidplate, ... it is probably the heaviest and still lacks linkage protection but even that moves up when you sit on the bike so it might not even be needed... I already bought mine .... and I am simply trying to help out the rest...

Looks like the AXP skidplate is for sale now through the contact us page on their site. £199 for europeans. Final iteration has side stand sensor protection, full linkage extension and they extended some of the side and front flares. Here is a video showing the mounting bracket under the linkage and some of the other features. It is definitely a chunky piece!

On the AXP, I'm not completely sure is compatible with  SW Motech centerstand. I exchanged some emails but have not been able to respond (they asked for the installing instructions to check).

For me, the worse new is that the water pump protection gets in the middle of the boot when breaking. that's a pity as it looks great 😞

How about the uprated Yamaha Accessory one?  Haven't seen it mentioned.  It's way beefier than the standard one, and it looks to flow with the lines of the bike real nice.  It even has an option for a tool kit!  Comes in machine finish and also Black!

For me the Yamaha Skid-Plate was first choice. I had the chance to get the Plate and the Box second hand but nearly unused. Very happy with that. As you said, fits perfect to the lines of the bike.

Hi. Do you think it'll get better with the break pedal extension?
