No dirt on this ride.  I thought I needed to put my street wheels with STRs on the bike. Turns out those high performance tires don't like cold weather and dirty roads. They were just a bit faster in the straights though. 🤣

some random rides pics from over the years, that's my type of trail riding, back roads and where ever I can climb or go down too... Admire the scenery of Northern Ontario Canada... The gun is because I live to bird hunting while riding.

About 880km for the weekend.

Nundle to Moonan for breakfast yesterday.

Great run as the 20 creek crossings were pretty shallow so no backing off!

Awesome mate. Stay safe over there!

Envious greetings from Germany, Israel looks like the Promised Land for offroad riding indeed.

Thank you.
It is a versatile place for offroad activities. In the west theres the Mediterranean Sea, in the south there are dunes, the Negev and Arava Deserts, on the east the Judean desert and the Dead sea, on the north green mountains, Sea of galilee and the Golan heights - and as it being a small country all of them are in a range of 1-2 hours of riding distance from each other depending where you are.

Current status carries its limitations, but better days to come.

Never thought I'd have to check the tide before riding, but we had to turn around after hitting a point with no way around a tangle of dead trees.

Beach riding is so fun.

The weather was a little above freezing point, rainy and stormy. The best for a nice ride in my home area.😘

U995 is a relict from WWII and located as a monument on the beach in Laboe/Germany (54.41231° N, 10.22902° E)

I meant to post this but forgot. It's not too often that you run across subs while riding.

This one is the USS Hawkbill in Arco, Idaho (43.6342, -113.2966).

Not too far away is the EBR-1, a decommissioned nuclear reactor that is now a museum (and definitely worth visiting, no cost). Sitting outside and on top of a rail car that served as a test bed is a nuclear reactor strapped to and powering jet engines...

All of this stuff is here because this is where Idaho National Lab is. They do a lot of nuclear research and development of naval nuclear reactors, which is why part of a submarine is in the middle of nowhere Idaho. There's not much fun riding around the immediate area since it's all INL land, but there's plenty once you get out.

I got plans of a ride to visit all 3 subs in my area in one day. Just to look inside and see the improvement of technology from the beginning of WWII (Type 7 C) U-995 to the end of WWII (Type XXI, U-2540) in Bremerhaven to a newer type of sub U-11 in Fehmarn, an island near my home.

This is further east. LOTS of amazing riding in Idaho. This is in a weird, flat area, but the valleys running NW from there are an awesome lead-up to the forests, and if you go further east from there you start to hit the Tetons. Around Caribou National Forest is some great, flowy single track that is fun on the Tenere.

Also...

Today nearly 50 °F and a lot bikes on the road. I took a ride to a coffee joint at a ferry at the Kiel Canal to see what's goin' on. Until February nearly no riders there but today...

In this case there's no discussion about side or central stand...
