Great way to start the year! How do the Heidenaus perform?

From a solo ride a couple of days ago.  Frozen ground covered with a thin layer of mud and I was on stock tires. Lots of fun!

They're doing great so far.
Some muddy parts where a bit sketchy like that track through the field with the 2 tracks on 2 levels on a slope, remember that one?
But i didn't fall.... yet 🤣

Of course I do 😅

On this part, both you and I expected me to drop. It was pure luck the STRs kept their line. Momentum saved me there 😁

My first real ride in 2023 (my previous shock test doesn't count). Explored the northeastern regions around my hometown, have never really been there. Great twisties and some beautiful small villages (and really ugly cities, too). 20230107_123116.jpg.d02ca8a942e8ebae839558be54fdc642.jpg

@Tenerider Very nice!

Green grass, I remember that stuff.

Now all I can do is build snowmen and igloos!

I only see forbidden for cars and bikes signs at every dirt road.

Usually, most people over here (including myself) really crave for a bit of snow. We get plenty of it, but in liquid form only 😁

Doesn't look as nice as the white stuff, but it actually means we can ride all year.

A very short stretch - and an actual road, leading to a trout smokery! If anybody asks, I'll tell them I need smoked trouts.

I have found some other unpaved AND sign-less roads today.

Once you have a lot of snow, the craving goes away!

These days all I can do is head out to the shop , sit on the bike, and dream of spring!!

I can think of a ‘hundred’things you can add move or change before spring. Makes the wait for spring  go by faster ….

Ok, my WAG on your collection by bike model. L-R, XR100, Honda Reflex, Rokon ( already knew you had that ;), DR650, XR600, CR250 & another DR650. How'd I do?

@AZJW, you pretty much nailed it!! The only corrections are as follows:

The XR600, it is actually a 2002 XR400R (One of my favorite bikes, air cooled and carbureted)

The two DR's are 350's (Six speed, air cooled, and carbureted)

The CR is a 125

Below is the rest of them in the shop (and they all run). I'm not rich or noth'n... with the exception on the T7 and the '92 DR350, I bought them all used and neglected. Back before the pandemic you could pick up used bikes cheaply. All told, they cost me about 1/2 of a new pickup.

The old barn contains some non-runners that I need to address someday. You always need a few of them hanging around...

Thanks for making my day, I love talking motorcycles!!

DT, Yes... it looks pretty anemic right now. We have had much more, but had a week long melt a little while back.

Winter is far from over!

Fantastic muddy ride this week in the UK. The Rally Raid front and rear suspension rocks. No question. Oh and the Michelin Tracker tyres on the off road wheel set up (2.5 inch rear).
