What have you done for your T7 today?

Used the profusely leaky seal as excuse to finally do something about the lack lustre front end. Had the local specialist upgrade to 7.5Nm race tech springs & their gold valves.
Put simply, it’s a new machine. The mushy brake diving skittish rocking horse is gone & the handling & feel have dramatically improved across the board.
Even as a flyweight, the stock setup had me hesitant & cringing when getting aggressive & when the terrain got burly. Didn’t appreciate just how lame it was, until it wasn’t.
Inspires far more trust & confidence now  & feels like what it should have been from the factory. Much improved.

Do yourself & the bike a favour & upgrade that stock front suspension. Springs & a re-valve should easily satisfy the vast majority of riders.

STS on fisher rd. in Cobble Hill. Local  for us barnacles. Look him up

Bank on dropping around 1200 loons parts & labour just for the internal work. I pulled  & remounted the forks. Affordable? No. Worth it? Hell Yes!

7.5 N/mm? Oh yeah, brake dive is nonexistent then, even if you're around 600 lbs 😉

I'm running 6.4 with 82 kg rider weight without gear. So I'm a bit surprised that it works for you!

Suspected it might be too much myself. Guaranteed a free swap if so. With 20lbs in the crash bar bags & no ability to preload the sags are  where they should be. Not sure those numbers always  equate through different manufacturers?? . Looking at race tech charts i figured their 7.1’s were the call. Gurus recommended their  the 7.5’s Didn’t argue, and it  doesn’t seem  to me they were wrong.

I think there's good reason listening to the Gurus - the more since it works for you now!

Bought a factory refurbished DJI Osmo Action 3 - 55€ cheaper than a new one, and it comes with full warranty. As far as I can tell, it only has some minor marks on the mounting area, otherwise it looks like new.

I don't want to start a big YT channel, but rather record some rides for my own and for my family/friends.

I have that same voltmeter.  A heads up, in a heavy rain it may read high; don't worry about it.  I've had mine spike "23 volts" while still actually being at a comfortable 14.

Ditto! I think mine even showed something like 45 Volts (seriously), which had me panicking and ripping the cable from my smartphone 😂

No damage caused!

I have the MSC Moto RM3 Steering Damper and really appreciate having it.

I was looking to MSC version but recall they having some hiccups installing it properly. Do you know if they have sorted this out?

You're probably referring to this thread where a few of us had some slight install hurdles to deal with.

No response to the original question and I'm not on Instagram so the last post doesn't help me understand where MSC Moto is on this.

@RoyFrance just kidding 😂

My T7 is getting her 10.000 km service tomorrow. Have never ridden an inline 4 bike yet, so I took the chance and borrowed this one from my dealer for one day.

Takecare MT-10 can quickly deceive and transform from pussy cat strolls to hold on tight lighting leopard warp speed pace. love mine, another great Yamaha engine and chassis.

Only did about 5 km on it yet but YES. Nearly dislocated my shoulders in 3rd 😁 Was approaching a speed limit sign, was way too fast, hit the brakes and then had a look at the speedo showing 140 kph. After grabbing the brake. And it wasn't even close to the rev limiter.

@kainic I didn't have any problem except dropping the little bits several times and wasting time looking for them all over my garage.

I did a review on it and here is a quote:

Installing the Moto RM3 steering damper requires some mechanical experience, and it can all be done with the Ténéré 700 on the side stand. Getting to the bolt-on location requires sliding the gas tank back a few inches, and to do that requires removing the side panels.

Start by removing the seat, Then, take out the side panel screws, removing the two screws holding the gas tank at the rear, and sliding the tank back a few inches. From there, a 27mm wrench is needed to pull the steering crown nut for the RM3 to mount. After that, it is all reassembly.

Hope this helps.
