Greetings from Northeast Washington State!  Took a Sunday morning ride up to Salmo Lookout.

The forest service made repairs to the Sullivan Creek Road, removing most of the forest whoops that I had previously used to test my suspension setup.  They must have had some free time in between fighting fires, hence the smoky backgrounds in these photos.

The blue crash bars look good.   Are you pleased with how they match the bike's blue?

Yes, they are about as close as a non-OEM could get.  Very happy with them.

Okay, great.  I'm trying to decide on a set now.  I'm probably gonna go with the blue Outback Motortek ones or either wait on Altrider's for the 2022, but I don't know if I can wait that long.

Lake City for lunch. Via Silverton,Engineer Pass, Lake City and return on Cinnamon Pass. A couple of ugly switchbacks. A good day.

I try to catch some fresh air every day, so the T7 is the way to go far away from the crowd.

That is a mighty tall tank bag. Do you stand? I have several tall tank bags and as soon as I get off road I move them ( it) to the tail, as a tail bag. I can't get over the front wheel enough with a tank bag in the way.

I am embarrassed to say that I have ridden ( on highway)  within 5 km of this spot about 10x and never knew it was there until today. Now it is on my bucket list. Red Desert Wyoming  " Delany Rim"

Its a sw-motech yukon 130, 13 liters, extendable to 20 l.  I stand sometimes when i take a gravelroad. Its no problem for me, i have long legs(i'm 190 cm) and can lean over to the front.

Yup you are 13 cm taller than me. Makes all the difference when bumping into a tank bag.

There's quite a bit of sand on that trail, which was a new riding experience for me.  I had to be patient with how to tackle that terrain and learned a few lessons that day.

How was it?

I've been riding street bikes for over 30 years, but  I'm fairly new(6 months) to off road riding.  So this was probably the hardest thing I've done.  The steps section was ridiculously hard(at least for me), and I had to have a buddy of mine(who's a pro) do that section for me.  If you haven't heard about the "steps" at black bear pass, there's plenty of YouTube videos showing how difficult it is.  He made it look like a piece of cake.  The views were pretty spectacular though.
