Just added the Touratech Quick Release clear headlight guard.  Just took a few minutes. Snaps in place.

I did (unusual for me) and the bins have been emptied.

To be fair, they can’t resell without the foam, as it’s a major part of the packaging, but I’ll flog them for a loss and they lose me as a customer.

Not arsed in arguing with them to be honest, reviews are an amazing tool.

Are they long or short levers? What colours? Where in the uk are you?

Went to dirtracks in Langley, BC (dirtracks.ca or dirtracks.com) and bought their tail and soft luggage racks.

The owner did most of the install with a little help from me.

Oh, that rear rack looks interesting.

I've been waffling about a rear rack for my T7; but I'm really unsure of what I'll be able to work in around my Heed rear bars which use the same mounting points under the tail.

It's definitely attractive, however, buying from a Canadian vendor vs. Aliexpress.  The various US vendors are insanely expensive once shipping is accounted for.

I just installed Touratech works wider foot pegs. I stand almost all the time and the extra width was definitely needed for the Klim ADV boots. Here is my review

What make and model are your crash bar bags? Have not seen ones that fit the OEM Yamaha crash bars before?

I am not the author, just answering that I mounted the possibles pouch from Giant Loop on the own crash bars. Put a few 1000 miles on and off road and it doesn’t move with its own straps. Here is my review https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2021/11/08/giant-loop-possibles-pouch-review-yamaha-tenere-700-project-bike/

High exhaust by a local exhaust specialist and a new muffler.

At one of our local monthly bike gatherings here in Perth Western Australia. Rogue Motorcycles.

My T7 and a new Super Tenere were the only adventure bikes but there were ALL SORTS. Great event.

There's TONS for sale if these have a high shipping cost for you, just search for "tenere 700 crash bar bags".  For me in Canada these are free shipping.

I've got a set from there, took about 3 weeks to get here.  They're reasonably waterproof, pretty sturdy, and at like $30 cheap enough to be basically disposable.

Kicked it, a lot 🤣

Acerbis handguards seem to be a massive culprit when looking at other levers. The brackets are in the wrong place to provide clearance.

Ordered ASV, no good, returned. Ordered Puig, no good, returned. Both looked excellent levers by the way.

So today I gave in and ordered Bark Busters. Once they arrive, I'll fit and then see what clearance I have and order levers to suit.

I 100% prefer the Acerbis, but also want shorter levers.

First image shows the point where the bracket connects the guard to the rail and the second is the attempt to do exactly that. No chance.

Finally got my T7 and officially joined the club.

Being 5'6" and having a 29-30" inseam, I had the dealership install the RR lowering links and sidestand off the bat, which got me the height into manageable territory. I'll probably have the seat shaved as well for added stability, I already had a number of close calls and one actual drop (more on that later) during low speed maneuvers. At least I don't have to worry about dropping my brand new bike anymore.

Also had some Zeta handguards installed as well, which not only looks nice but also managed to already do some work by tanking the damage when I dropped the bike, since my dumbass brain didn't exactly realize how much weight would be added when I went from bare minimum gas from the dealer to full tank. Also had a first hand lesson on how the fuel cap leaks like a sieve, so a fix for that is high on the priority list.

Here's the lever clearance for the curious.

IMG_20211125_093319.thumb.jpg.18b50a91f0fe84763dd87a2334da4d63.jpg

I think I'd like to change the clutch lever as well. It's a bit too far for my tastes, and unlike the brake lever isn't actually adjustable, so I'm gonna have to look for an aftermarket solution. The clutch pull too, my muscles are still a bit sore from how unexpectedly heavy that thing was. Not sure if it will break in over time, but for now I'm considering CamelADV's clutch kit. I'd also like to add a grab handle of some sort to the rear, just for added leverage and potential tie down points for my ROK straps. Finally, I have a Huzar exhaust somewhere in transit already, so I just have to wait for that. Might wait to install it until the first thousand kms though, I figure that if anything goes wrong it'll show up in that time and I can let the dealer warranty deal with it.

Installed a Motoz Tractionator Adventure 140/80 B18.

I will need to wait for the Atmospheric rivers to pass before testing it on the pavement. No idea when I will be able to take it off road as all FSRs are closed in the Chilliwack Forest District. I may need to ride out to Squamish.

Just mounted the Touratech Pro Adjustable Windscreen adjustment bracket.  Easily adjusts 2.4” up or down to 1/2” above stock. In the up position it definitely quiets the wind noise for me. 19D17F97-A83E-4A06-AA27-E5F8EE133790.thumb.gif.f997113476ca346e74cc3b8c6d8007f3.gif

How do you like the pro bracket? Does the windshield get pushed out pass the headlight when it's mounted back up? Been flip flopping between this, the altrider bracket and a powerbronze sport screen lol

So you remain tubed? I’m a little unsure about the 140 tubeless without going to a narrower rim

I kept the tube. It looks like the previous owner was thinking about going tubless as all the spokes were taped or is that how the rim came?

No stock rim tape. I used Outex, so far so good. The 140’s are a little easier to find & also not so damned expensive. Still reluctant to trust them tubeless on these wide rims though.

I ordered a black Friday sale K&N filter and some passenger handgrips to modify.
At the moment i have the Mosko Moto Reckless 40 on for daily use but i also have a reckless 80 for longer trips and need something to strap it on. What i can buy is not what i like and too expensive.
The handgrips where cheap and a nice start to make something. I'm a all-round metal worker and already have something minimalistic in mind.

Winter is finally here so the T7 has been put away for a few months and the maintenance begins.

Shock removed from bike and spring taken off.  The plan is to drop shock off at a local suspension tuner for a service and revalve.

Rebound is not bad, but the compression valving is definitely in need of work.  Hope to get it back in a few weeks depending on what parts he has in stock.

Busy weekend for the Tenere.

Hepco Becker center stand.

Protaper EVO adventure bars

Heed Crash bars

Upgraded suspension front and rear.

Touratech front progressive springs and new fork seals.

 TOURATECH EXPLORE HP REAR SHOCK.

Suspension so far seems excellent, feels better especially  since I'm  6ft and 255lb with gear.
