Mounted up new tires, time for the Pirellis to go. Motoz GPS rear and Shinko E804 front. 150 miles on pavement, gravel and dirt. No complaints, no more front end oscillation, traction is good in sandy dirt and gravel. Will be interesting to see how they work in a little mud, the Pirellis do not.

Why not the Motoz GPS in the front for you?

Sure am! I've also got their rear luggage rack and rear tail rack. Everything is very sturdy. The other week I actually crested a hill at roughly 40kph and dumped the bike quite hard on the right side in a drainage ditch running across the trail (don't ride beyond your vision kids!). Barkbusters and front wheel were all twisted up, and there are pretty significant scrapes on the crash bars, but they hardly budged and did their job perfectly, so I'm very happy with them. $227 CAD for crash bars (shipping included) was easily the best price I found when I was looking as well. Highly recommended.

Hey Teabag, I am on their site tonight (Dirtracks.ca) and they are charging $25 for shipping.  I am in Victoria BC. How did you get shipping included? Thanks, Ray

Installed OEM heated grips. Pretty straight forward install. I use Red High Temp RTV to glue the grips on. Seems to hold well. Wired to the left side aux  power drop. I really hated the stock grips. These are okay could be a little more aggressive grip pattern but should be fine. .

They don't get as hot as the Oxfords I have on the S10 but that's fine with me.  I don't expect heated grips to keep my hand warm in 30F weather. I have have heated gloves for that. I like the heated grips for cool mornings where I don't want to use a heavy glove. They give just that little extra comfort. These will do the job, price was right and no bulky control module to mount. YMMV

Looks like I was mistaken! I had thought shipping was free on orders over a certain pricepoint, but I double checked my invoice and did in fact pay $25 for shipping.

If you haven't already seen this thread, it might be possible that you can get the OEM heated grips warmer than you currently have:

All the internet research I did convinced me the rear GPS was a good choice, the front less so, and the 804 was a great choice. One of my motivations to change was how poor the stock Pirelli's are in mud. I got into some really sticky mud with my new tires: The front packed so much mud into the (stock) fender that it would not roll. The GPS had enough traction it pushed the bike, in 1st  feathering the clutch, with the front tire locked up. Got to a drier spot and cleaned out some mud and got going. The mud actually cracked the fender. Time for another farkle!

I would like to add that the front motoz tractionator GPS is not allowed/recommended for the 1.85 inch front rim of the T700. If the rim is too narrow it changes the profile of the tire, which in turn affects the properties and the wear pattern. As far as I can tell, none of the front tractionators claim the 1.85 inch rim as permissible.

A question about the fender. Did you crack the fender with it in the high position? I like the low fender and figured that it would not be optimal for mud, but never thought it might crack.

The fender was in the highest position possible.  Here's a photo:

Hi @Lukyyy.

It seems interesting. Could you be a little more specific about the improvement you have noticed?

Thanks.

Ahoj @Lukyyy.

Vypadá to zajímavě. Mohl byste být trochu konkrétnější ohledně zlepšení, kterého jste si všimli?

Dík.

They add more confidence and the ride becomes more comfortable and faster and perfectly eliminates the unpleasant ripples of the motorcycle in corners.

Well, if you really notice a difference, it's worth a try. Price is not an obstacle compared to other suspension upgrades. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Then I came home and got rid of my shitty Amazon specials signal lights and put some small penny lights in that cost a grand total of $1.50 each. Don't know if you're in Canada or the states...

Up here in the north I picked them up from princess auto. I believe it's our harbor freight equivalent. You can get them anywhere really, Amazon, auto parts store, etc...

Installed the Triple Clamp Moto steering damper kit.  Super easy to install and perfect fit.  Should help avoid a few of those close calls.
