Putting air in my Heidenau K60 scout rear- Optex tubeless- and saw a shiny pin head in the middle tread. Turns out it wasn’t as long as the tread is deep in the middle. Always concerning to see shiny objects hiding on a tire …IMG_7865.jpeg.6b52e0800fe0e5e972d1f68372abf673.jpeg

I used to do those kind of trails on my Honda xr250 when I was 10 years younger. If I came across those on my T7 now I would turn around or pay for a helicopter retrieval!

I used to hit them on a YZ, wanted to move around a bit more without the truck so I got the T7. Still hitting the same trails

I am impressed and jealous at the same time. Guess I am just getting old in my “old” age.

Some shots of my first motorbike trip BE-FR-PT-ES. Absolutely fell in love with the T7 and motorbike traveling. No problems at all on the 5k+ mile trip. Absolutely fantastic!

Yes, @DickWY you really do bond with (awesome T7) on and for trips. I take and love T7 on trips before me MT-10.

Not on my T7, but today is the last riding day on the AMA/Edelweiss Alps Challenge II tour I'm lucky enough to have joined. I'm riding a Tracer 900 GT+, which is a fantastic bike. My first experience with a quick shifter, which has proven to be addictive especially between the innumerable switchbacks we've been traversing in Italy, France and Switzerland. Most of my pictures are on a small point and shoot camera I carry, and I can't access or download them until I get home so here are a couple of pics from my cellphone.

If you ever have the opportunity to ride the Alps, do it!

I fitted in a little early morning ride out on Thursday after stumbling across a little gem of a place while searching things 'megalithic' near me on-line.

Never knew this magical-sort-of-a-place was so near to me, just across the border in Co.Tyrone, NI.

http://www.megalithicireland.com/St Patrick's Chair, Altadaven, Tyrone.html

Took me about an hour to get there.

1.thumb.JPG.15ecd36ef33a220bea3f99e94030525d.JPG

I didn't have much time available to hike around but, I headed off down the track...

2.thumb.JPG.df52a985a56b88f631f15eb2da1f5f35.JPG

...It was an easy enough walk for a while...

3.thumb.JPG.0615e37dd9abbd98bf420907be2a6689.JPG

...There's a few steps cut into the earthen track.

4.thumb.JPG.2d4f7fe9a1ca686edb4df4093997fc94.JPG

It got a wee bit less easy underfoot after a while, being a bit damp an' all and in totally the wrong walking gear.

5.thumb.JPG.effbd0d2f7747e75f92776ea3ed6055b.JPG

It got a bit slip-n'-slide in places.

Then...sooner than I'd hoped, I got to 'The Seat'

6.JPG.d9932f95897bddce00f3d360bcd90075.JPG

This forest's got a sort of 'other worldly' feel about it.

7.thumb.jpg.b67b6755281797e9c591d1b849e7c6c5.jpg

Quite quietly beautiful...

I had to try out the seat for size.

It's pretty big when you get up close and...me legs were dangling.

My bum started sliding on the moss threatening to dump me off of the seat.

8.thumb.JPG.f2d704476051dddac47a872c39409ca1.JPG

A steep climb down the densely wooded hillside brings you too an area that's decorated with semi-religious bit's n' pieces pinned there by previous visitors.

I guess there's a hope or request embodied in most.

9.thumb.JPG.99e7a7d9bbd263c08a9885070275104d.JPG

I don't believe in such stuff but,

I do believe it brings a comfort to those that do.

10.thumb.JPG.ec153a70fa57f59345346278001c22d7.JPG

Paddy's Chair is visible up above from where these prayers are nailed to the trees.

11.thumb.JPG.ad8f349515255d29994bc42abfddfa4d.JPG

It'd be nice to believe some of these prayers were answered.

There was a little necklace still in a wee plastic bag just left there on the Saints seat.

StPaddy(8).thumb.JPG.0820de8c88ac062b670acb0d6b9c53c7.JPG

I left it there.  Just in case I'd fekk up some really important request.

What a really nice couple of hours ride out!

Riding faster than everyone else only guarantees you'll ride alone.....
