Class, thanks. Temperature nice this time of year,  enjoy. 👍

Yes it's fantastic. Got plenty of GoPro footage too. We've got another 4 days of riding. We're off towards Riano and further west today.

20-24C every day, so pretty much perfect.

Did some stupid stuff along with this lady on an 890. Hopped some logs, rolled the T7, but still managed to make it out in perfect condition, just a day later than expected!

I would do that on a 250# dirt bike 10 years ago, but not now on a 500# bike with a 71 year old steering. That would be a U turn for me. Good on ya for making it up.

Time is getting short here in the PNW.  Rode up to Salmo Mountain to get a look at the fire damage, which thankfully didn't include the Salmo Lookout.  Took pics of the bike with Gypsy Ridge in the background.

Just moved into our new house with a 3 car garage- was able to make enough room to bring my second love home from a temporary shelter at my daughter’s house, 2007 Yamaha Venture set up for ultimate comfort for long days in the saddle.
As good as I am off road, I won’t even take that beast in a gravel parking lot.

3 car garage? You have way too much space left in there. Better butter the missus up for some more bikes. 😁🍺

You are really calling a 450 pound 700cc twin cylinder street legal motorcycle a dirtbike? Did I miss context and you're being sarcastic,  because that's ludicrous lol

Ha. We just  moved in. Made room for the wife’s car right away, and of course for my T7 but had some work emptying boxes to make room for my  Venture. Actually you are correct as the riding my son in law and 6 year old grandson- he races motocross on a ktm electric!, want to do is too tight for me on my T7. Like you say, need a third bike for trail riding!

It's a week or so past the Autumn Equinox so today was my first 'out-of-season' ride out.

Rode a 'round trip via The Sperrin Mountains in Co. Tyrone N.I to see a statue.

Capture.thumb.PNG.3acc812cb207d7ccf7358541c8a32aaa.PNG

I needed to be home before midday so I started early at 05:45 and it was still pitch dark.

Sunrise was around 07:15 when I found myself approaching the Sperrin.

2.thumb.JPG.7f1430cf028c530e52ec95d01cc0f74c.JPG

It's a truly lovely area to explore but this morning the rain that was promised to stay away...

Didn't.

Riding in the dark, in the rain, isn't pleasant but, it was only for an hour or so.

The rain eased as dawn broke.

Approaching Limavady the skies brightened briefly and I enjoyed some beautiful riding in blissful solitude.

I love my early mornings.

I thought I might ride into one of those wonderful crimson-gold sunrises but it wasn't on the cards this morning.

3.thumb.JPG.7159a6177ecfc7f5db853dc1a7e1d4f5.JPG

What did happen though was...I rode in the dark until at one point I could see a full moon in a starlit sky to my left and...dawn breaking on my right.

I rode for a brief while in a natural landscape void of human habitation.

The rain ceased as well.

I rode a short but lovely narrow tarred lane to visit this.....

Manannán or Manann, also known as Manannán mac Lir ("son of the sea"),[3] is a warrior and king of the Otherworld in Irish and Manx mythology who is associated with the sea and often interpreted as a sea god, usually as a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann.

He is seen as the ruler and guardian of the Otherworld, and his dominion is referred by such names as Emain Ablach, Mag Mell (Plain of Delights), or Tír Tairngire (Land of Promise). He is described as over-king of the surviving Tuatha Dé after the advent of humans (Milesians), and uses the mist of invisibility (féth fíada) to cloak the whereabouts of his home as well as the sidh dwellings of the others.

In modern tales, he is said to own a self-navigating boat named Sguaba Tuinne ("Wave-sweeper"), a horse Aonbharr which can course over water as well as land, and a deadly strength-sapping sword named Fragarach, though the list does not end there.

Manannán appears also in Scottish and Manx legend, where he is known as Manannan mac y Leir ("little Mannan, son of the sea"). The Isle of Man (Mannin) is named after him, while others say he is named after the island. He is cognate with the Welsh figure Manawydan fab Llŷr.

The sun had risen just enough to light Manannán against the morning sky.

Fook...it was windy.

nearly windy enough to detach what hair I've still got left.

I climbed the wooden stairway to the statue and the blinding Autumn sun made a wonderful silhouette against the now clear sky.

6.thumb.JPG.b4aa24962f35c1d9228641bcba201326.JPG

I spent thirty minutes plus just waiting to witness the sun rise higher in the sky.

Folks who like a big sleep-in miss this sort of stuff.

7.thumb.JPG.ad6205fee791f37fa634f20608089d45.JPG

I waited 'til the world turned to light and the views appeared...

I walked down to my bike to start my 160 km ride home in brilliant Autumn sunshine.10.thumb.JPG.d741b41cc3754a9f0709f7f3257cd9d3.JPG
