Hi, got this SW Motech seat bag after seeing one on another forum, fits well on the four existing mounting points,  26 litre expanding to 35 I think.
by the way I’m in Shepshed if you want to have a look.

If you open his last photo full size, you can see that he ran the mounting straps around those cargo pins and cinched it down tight to those.  Looks really clean to me...

I posted this under another thread but it is appropriate here. Looking for the T7 to be a travel bike as opposed to a dirt bike, I wanted soft luggage with an option for hard luggage later for motel/road only trips. I like the Bumot stuff and they publish widths with each luggage option for the bikes they have stuff for. So I went with the Bumot luggage racks and rear rack with their Xtremeda soft luggage. I think I am going to like it a lot!

And I know someone will ask about the width!

Now I just need a nice November warm spell to go camping with it!

Thanks for posting pictures because I've been considering Bumot myself for the T7 and my 1090R. Have been going back and forth between their soft or medium width hard bags. Or a set of each if I hit the lottery. 🙂

Yeah, probably yes. I was confused by the shadow that looks like a string. Thanks!

What size Blizzard and Tornado bags are these? do the Blizzards feel secure mounted to the AS side plates?

I already have the same base pack for commuting and really like enduristans quality. Been thinking about going with the same setup.

Thanks!

Blizzard - Large

Tornado - Small

Side bags seem to be well secured. They are not as tight as GL bag I use to carry, but it's OK and way better in regards of packing/unpacking stuff - much easier and quicker, for me at least.

I added a Touratech rear rack - a tool box. Tusk tank bag and Oxford rear bag . For camping gear I use a Giant Loop - coyote bag.

@BAM2002. Looking good. Got a source for that toolbox or is it homegrown?  Nice fit above the pipe, wondering if it could carry a couple of 30 oz. MSR fuel bottles?

Tool box is from 3yTech in Italy.  Very well-made but not big enough for the fuel bottles see the photo below. The fuel bottle is actually longer and wider than the box. I use the toolbox to hold my front axle nut adapter a patch kit and some tire forks .  Plus a few miscellaneous wrenches. I will probably try to mount the fuel bottles high on the front HEED engine guard when that arrives next week. I need to see if I can mount them in a safe place .

I'm still trying to the find the best way to mount my touratech endurance bags (30lt each) to this bike.

I came across this side luggage rack from a Lituanian producer called Batanga that only costs 90€ and looks well made.

In theory you could then mount any brand of soft luggage to them. I might give these a try soon. Other similar racks cost triple the price and I don't see much difference between the different manufacturers. It has 3 connection points on each side and a bar across. He even makes a version with the T7 logo. I think if these work well than it would be one of the best and cheapest solutions for mounting side soft luggage bags. They are also compatible with the orignal yamaha top rack which is important.

I bought a Givi Monokey plate and mounted it to the OM plate.  Having the extra plate bugs me, but mounting to Givi plate directly to the OM rear rack is a little tricky without blocking seat removal.  I’m trying to come up with a mounting plate that will let me move the plate back far enough and use the three existing mounting holes on the plate.

I got it figured out.  I took the mounting bits off of the Givi plate and installed on the Outback Motortek plate.

Nice solution.

I got the Bumot rear rack and bolted a Givi universal plate straight on it.

We've just got our Tenere in the shop, so slung a set of Enduristan Blizzards on it.

These are the Large (total 24Ltr), but the XLarge (total 34Ltr) still have no clearance issue with the exhaust:

If you're riding offroad, you don't carry the same stuff as you would on a pure road trip, right? That’s why Enduristan chose a modular approach for the Blizzard Saddle Bags.

Anyone know the difference between the Outback Motoretek asymmetrical and symmetrical pannier racks?

The website says the asymmetrical are narrower 55cm, but it doesn't say how wide the symmetrical ones are.

Anyone got any pictures of them as a comparison?

Also the standard panniers work with both Kriega OS 22 and 32 whereas the X frame are only listed as working with the 32, is that right? Cant see how that would work.

Anyone have any experience with MotoBags by Lone Rider?

MotoBags_BMW_1250_1200x1200.jpg?v=157495

Forget about aluminum motorcycle panniers. Lone Rider MotoBags is the revolutionary semi-rigid solution to annoying metal and soft bags. Proven durability!

Kinda pricey compared to others I have seen.

Looks like they are bolted to the frames and don't remove without some wrenching.

I think all the Enduristan stuff looks awesome, but its pricey. For a set of Blizzards and a top Tornado 2 it will be 4-5 times the price of a SW duffel bag with 35/60L storage.

The weight will be carried higher with the duffel bag, and theres more adjustability with the Enduristan setup, but besides this, why shouldnt I just opt for the less pricy alternative?

Im coming from a hard bagged tourer, so please enlighten me with your soft bag knowledge!

Mosko is having a sale so I ended up ordering the reckless 80. It looks like the perfect set up for soft bags and I know the quality is there.

i had some Bumot hard panniers I saved off my super Tenere but in correspondence with the US distributor it seems like they changed the racks slightly, so my bags would not fit without me drilling holes and moving hardware around. I did not want to take a chance on doing that and the bags sitting at some odd height or something, plus drilling holes means I have to fill other holes so they will be waterproof. The RACKS and stuff were going to be just a little under the cost of the Mosko setup so I just decided to go for that, will be thinner, and less weight.

I've got the HEED large tail rack with a Nelson Rigg Trails End tail bag.  Tail bag is 17.6 l expandable to 27.7 l.  I'm very impressed with the quality of both the rack and tail bag.  My only nitpick is that the rack plate has sharp edges that have to be filed down.

Next I'll get some saddlebags that will rest directly on the body work.  But I'll put down some 3M protective film first.
