I have attached my kriega side bags to my crash bars.  With this the center of gravity of the bike is also low.  I have my camping gear in the rollbag on the back.  (kriega is 2x12L and rollbag 50L)

Which hippo hands are those and how do you like them?

I just received the rogues but have not had a chance to try them out yet.

Ok here is my cheap and practical option.

I absolutely love these cheap homemade "I-don't-care-about-the-look" solutions ! That's a bit like my packing solution on my harley, where I also use a wooden base plate (although I painted it black - for the look 🤣)

Installed the xs 6.5 and must say it is a very nice piece of kit... Feels very well built and it had nice strapping system... Used the 4 points yamaha has kindly provided to secure to the bike. Straps come with holes and reinforced stitches around the hole.

Look forward to seeing some of the blizzard luggage with owners and getting them for longer trips.

I am not a big fan of racks on the back of my bike although there is a light one that has caught my eye.

I might design something similar but longer at the back.

The backcountry i think is what they are called and they are ok - they do keep the hands warmer, and don't interfere with standing

I tend to leave them on almost all year.

Hey @duibhceK

Any pictures you could share as I want to do this too.

Ta, James

Not the best quality pics, but should give you an idea. They're a nice fit.

Another pic of the Enduristan Blizzard XLs with the smaller crash bars bags attached...The only rack I use is an Outback Motortek tail rack.

Is is possible to trap the enduristan blizzards XL under the pillion seat?

No, that would not work.  The bags would be too low.  As it is now, I have the straps over the tail rack hand holds.  I could run the straps under those hand holds but would need those quick release buckles.

I've order soft luggage... Givi Grt 709 Canyon

Don't know if it was a good ideia, but i assume that for me it's the best choice... My ideia it's to be able to put the jerrycan givi on the bags also... If anyone have them or had in other bike, tell me if they worth the money...

The pictures are only for example...

Tusk install. Fastened to the OEM rally rack. I feel like it’s too far forward.

@Charles De MarThanks for sharing the pics.  I have been eyeing up these bags and the other smaller ones from Tusk.  Being mounted this way I agree that they sit too far forward.  Time for the rear rack.  I'm assuming these are the Highland bags?

This is excursion with small duffle. I’m not planning on carrying much camping gear most of the time. I have put my time in sleeping on the ground. I’m good for or an overnight trip but the multi nights of sleeping on the ground are over.

The Yamaha Ralley rack needs trimmed to fit the Tusk top rack.

Anyone here have the Givi Dolomiti 36L panniers on their T7?  I put a down payment on a T7 but it hasn't arrived yet, however, I did order the Givi side and top racks and yesterday ordered the Dolomiti's.

The Tusk tail rack works well with the OEM seat rack. It took a little trimming on the OEM rack.

Same exact trimming I did for the Altrider rear rack.  Nice work!

looks like the tusk follows the seat profile better than the Altrider.   Mine doesn’t sit flush like yours does.

I posted the Bumot soft luggage mounted on their luggage racks back in November or so, when I first got the bike but circumstances would not let me test them with a trip until this weekend. They did great and I really like them! Bought these with a the idea of adding their hard luggage (since they use the same racks) but may never do that now.

The only negative for me was, like almost all soft luggage options, they use another water proof inner bag. While the Bumot one is very well made, I found it a bother to open the 2nd bag. Since I always have packed items that need water proofing in their own dry bag, even when using "water proof' hard panniers, I will probably move toward leaving at least one of the inner bags home next time.

One reason I got these also came into play at the campsite Saturday night. We arrived and set up, then went for a ride. Unlocked the luggage, popped them off and tossed them under the tent fly for an unencumbered ride. No straps, no tie down, no hassle! The Kreiga 30L bag on the seat held the tent and my chair and also easily comes off.
