Anyone have an opinion on this Nelson Rigg bag? I'm not needing anything fancy, just a place to store a few things. I have the Camel ADV minimalist rack.

nel_20_tra_end_dua_spo_end_tai_bag-19852

*LIFETIME WARRANTY *Industry leading UltraMax® fabric with maximum UV protection. *Heavy duty webbing and buckles for easy and secure mounting. *Smaller size is perfect for most dual sport and enduro...

Looks very similar in design, size and function to the older version Wolfman Peak tailbag I used on my old DR650 (attached to a rack) and now use on my T7 (attached to the pillion seat). Not waterproof but very water resistant and that's never been an issue in rain.

Expandable with one zipper is one of its best features, sadly missing on the new version of the new waterproof Peak. I keep a one liter water bottle, first aid kit, tools, etc., in it all the time, and expand it if I hit a store on the way home or need to stash my heated jacket liner when the weather warms up.

If I needed to replace my Peak bag tomorrow I'd probably buy this Nelson Rigg bag.

Not see anyone else with this setup so wanted to share. Using the Adventure spec rack with Lomo bags. I wanted something streamlined and versatile without breaking the bank and the ability to upgrade to a more rugged bag setup down the line (mosko moto/enduristan etc). Took me a while to get it stable enough to where I was happy, used rokstraps through the rack and passenger footpegs. Fine for roads and gravel but may bounce outwards from the bottom (fourth picture) more than I'd like on bumpy offroad.

Anyone aware of similar straps without the flex of the elastic?

With these and a duffel across the back i think im good for most trips but, im considering adding the adventure spec top luggage rack further down the line

Considering putting together a video series on all the changes ive made to bike if that would be of interest.

Happy riding!

Hi, am considering this setup, have you been riding with a passenger? And if so is there enough space for the passenger's feet?

Dougie do you have any other photos showing the bike with the OS18’s from the side and the rear please. I like yours and Alfmeisters setup, I have the R & G  side supports and the ASpec rear rack, just trying to decide which size OS bags to get (either OS12 or OS18). Cheers.

He’s the photos @FredBasset  os 18s. Ideally I’d normally like a 30 lite bag each side but they’ll be fine with the rest of the roll bags etc. It doesn’t touch the exhaust, I’ve not packed these bags properly, just padded them out for trial. 5411FEC5-BD81-4E00-8DE4-9C42C87186C6.thumb.jpeg.ab721627abc30ed42799438bc47786a6.jpeg

S W Motech racks and bags are too wide for me.  This is a picture of a friend’s bike.

I plan on running a good sized soft tank and tail bag....no side cases.

Are these the SW Motech PRO side carriers?

I jumped on some used SysBag 30's (with adapter plates) and if that's the only way to mount them...they'll be on the marketplace

I went with simplicity and ordered the Mosko 10L saddle bags, I liked the central beaver tail feature where you can lash on extra gear.  A bit pricey but with all the other stuff I ordered tonight I was on a roll 😁

I have found over the years that 50% of the stuff I lugged around I really didn't need to take anyway, by getting a smaller setup and I'll only take what is really essential, tools, water, coffee and gas stove.

I'm a fan of Mosko, have the back country 35 panniers on my CT and the Reckless 40 for daily use plus the 80 for big trips.

I looked at the 40 but didn't want to away from home that long lol, at least not yet.  I thought the woodland green colour scheme was totally sic but when I put a copy of it over a white T7 it looked totally sick.  Oh well, I was never a fashion whore.  I just wish now I'd spent more on a helmet, the friggin wind and road noise in the cheapo bell MX-9 is unbelievable.  I always cheap out on helmets.

Is this the acceptable way to attach the bags Ray?  Do they come with these straps.

You could spend 3x the money on a helmet and still be annoyed with the wind noise.

Ear plugs do an awesome job. Ya, they are a hassle, but at the same time they are a blessing.

The foam ones don't work for me, I had to buy the expensive $5 ones

@winddown "For Me" this style works. The foam one always work their way loose in my ear, these stay in place.

INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED, CAN BE USED WITH STRING - Each pair is individually wrapped. Each ear plug has a hole to apply a string. This set includes 10 pair ( 20 ear plugs).

I'm going to try this setup when my bike arrives... A place for a fulltime tailbag, and room for more on longer trips. (My apologies if this product is buried in the 25 pages before.)

Yes they come with these straps because that's the whole idea behind it, wit these straps you can fix in almost on any bike.
I had my 40 at first strapped on the back to the ears of the tail tidy where the indicators are mounted on but the R80 had 3 straps in the back so i made myself a minimalistic rack with 3 strap points.

I dug out this pack I used to go camping with on a Busa, not sure what brand, it's on the logo, first pic.  I'm not sure if it would impair my seating position, certainly makes a snug backrest  I'll try it out soon, it would be all I'd need for longer runs.  Lots of pockets and the multiple hoops make attaching it to the Frankenstein bolts a cinch.

I doubt it.
Maybe if you have a luggage rack that goes way back but Mosko is focussed on offroad use and that is mostly not done with a pillion.
The idea is to have the bags and therefore weight placed as much forward as comfortable (not interfering with your legs and ass).
When you ride with a pillion i suggest the Mosko Moto Backcountry panniers which come in 25 or 35L.

I believe those are SW Motech PRO side carriers.   He bought them as soon as they were available in Summer 2020.

Hello, i would like to buy Kriega OS base for my Tenere. Does anyone have experiences using this base with high mount exhaust from HP Corse? For example if the straps, bags, or base itself doesnt get burnt from exhaust heat?

If anyone is curious about the Kriega system, I just ordered it today and should have it soon. I'll post an update once I have it fitted. I ordered the proper Tenere OS base with 2x 12L OS bags

I want one of these. This looks like the perfect minimalist option for a Mosko Reckless.
