Not see anyone else with this setup so wanted to share. Using the Adventure spec rack with Lomo bags. I wanted something streamlined and versatile without breaking the bank and the ability to upgrade to a more rugged bag setup down the line (mosko moto/enduristan etc). Took me a while to get it stable enough to where I was happy, used rokstraps through the rack and passenger footpegs. Fine for roads and gravel but may bounce outwards from the bottom (fourth picture) more than I'd like on bumpy offroad.

Ā

Anyone aware of similar straps without the flex of the elastic?

Ā

With these and a duffel across the back i think im good for most trips but, im considering adding the adventure spec top luggage rack further down the line

Ā

Considering putting together a video series on all the changes ive made to bike if that would be of interest.

Ā

Happy riding!

We've just got our Tenere in the shop, so slung a set of Enduristan Blizzards on it.

Ā

These are the Large (total 24Ltr), but the XLarge (total 34Ltr) still have no clearance issue with the exhaust:

If you're riding offroad, you don't carry the same stuff as you would on a pure road trip, right? Thatā€™s why Enduristan chose a modular approach for the Blizzard Saddle Bags.

Great setup. Ā  Are those directly against the plastics, and do you need any additional protection to avoid marring the plastic? Ā Thank you

Iā€™ve got clear foil on the side panels.

Even tho they sit tight thereā€™ll be movement and sand/dust will come beneath the bags.

There is actually a little room left for a slim passenger šŸ˜…, but I usually ride alone and appreciate the opportunity to bring beverages and other necessities.

Not to bring out the inner serial killer, but that bag will fit a small passenger!Ā  Lol!Ā  I have a similar sized one to go, but the rear racks are delayed till next couple of weeks.

I'm going to try a set of Joe Rocket Reactor bags to see if they are as solid as their clothes are.Ā  Price is favorable to the point where they can be treated like the rest of the bike will be treated!Ā  In other words, I wont feel bad about thrashing them!006110-Reactor-Saddle-Bags-570x570.jpg

@ColddogĀ did you have a chance to try those bags? Can you share pictures how they look like installed?
Ā

thanks

I will go for soft rackless enduristan or touratech or moskooto or giant loop soft ones...I may install the rear adventure spec or the rear heed crashbars that could help attaching the soft bags around...

@kTwentyĀ  I haven't had a chance to try them out yet, waiting for Adv. Spec luggage plates and rear rack.

They seem to be a lot like the Dryspec bags model D20 from what i can tell.Ā  I will throw them over and tie them down this evening and send you a picture with a brief fitting explanation if I run into any troubles.Ā  Im trying to save the plastic on my bike for now till the plates show up, if the delay is too long for them, i will put on 3m clear tape till they show!

They seemed ok, lots of adjustments available. Ā I could keep them pretty solid no matter empty, orĀ full of coats and pants and stuff.

bang for the buck is there.

All good stuff going in here especially the rear rack and tank bag conversion:))

Ā

so im looking for a tail bag that clips in instead of rear seat like the Touratech ambato exp. this way keeps the weight central and noĀ straps etc. DoĀ any manufacturers do this?

ive asked touratech but seems like Kohedo who make there stuff and Motorrad have closed up for good

Hey Aleks,Ā

I purchased mine from Canadian dealer FortNine. Ā The bags are a new product but they sure look similar to the DrySpec bags, the install instructions seem to be the same!

Ā I would imagine they have dealers on your side of the pond. Ā I own a couple pieces and they are pretty sturdy at reasonable prices.9E5CF30A-751C-4611-8505-C8E3FF137B2A.thumb.png.89f6d1ae41c4d782d30f6c53a238ce0c.png

Here is my set up installed yesterday Mosko 25L and 35LĀ  that I already had mounted on Outback Motortek racks love the bags but thinking I'll be looking for other racks wish the right ride was tighter to the bike think you could trim at least 2 inches off and still have plenty of clearance.Ā

not really happy with how high they are as well, think they could be a 2-4 inches lower cant really lower them on the racks because of the way they mount.Ā

any one have a offset rack system could you post some pictures, if i cant find any thing else that'sĀ  betterĀ  I may have to break out the grinder and welder.Ā

I think that a high exhaust would allow the panier racks to be much closer to the bike.

I have the OM tail rack but there is no way I am getting OM panier racks, or any other for that mater since they all make the bike as large as a bus. On the plus side, it's going to be easier to pick up with a wide behind.

... crazy idea ... SherpaX, trailtailĀ or similar trailer? ... (just saying)
