Installed Skene lighting. Everything hooked up/spliced correctly and brake and turn signals work. However I want to program out the conspicuity flashing. I think it's way over the top and distracting to other drivers despite it's intended purpose. Try as I might, multiple times, have been unable to program the function away. I'm able to put the unit into programming mode with the four brake taps, but after the seven taps that are supposed to disable this feature it won't go away. Even tried it with the tech over the phone and no luck. Any similar experiences?

My bike a 2021 T7 with 20 000km. My rear mudguard are cracked at multiple points and my rear light completely cracked loose and got lost. I do ride very rough terrain and goes quite fast. I also have problems with stuff breaking of front end. I love the bike but cosmetics don't last, but is still the best technical adventure bike by far. Rear light cost quoted by Yamaha R9,200 zar. I cant find a aftermarket rear light for T7 or are there a Yamaha model with a similar light? Are there others with same problems?

I have my Zumo XT mounted on the T7, everything works great and the power comes from the 2 amp switched accessory connection. My question is: I want to occasionally use the ZUMO on my kick-start dirt bike (XR400R) that has no battery. My thinking is to use an external battery pack, like the backup power for your cell phones. Can I use the Zumo supplied cable (USB to Mini USB) to connect my unit to the backup battery? The cable is intended to link to my computer to do updates to the software and I am "guessing" it will charge the unit also. Has anyone done this? Please no "I think so answers"... if I screw up I might burn out my…

I wanted to create this post to see if anyone else has come across this issue. I recently installed a Tusk fender eliminator kit and two sets of Speed Metal LED turn signals on the bike and I thoroughly tested all of the signals and lighting before finishing the completed wiring to be safe. Everything worked as it should. I went for a ride last weekend and on my way home I was honked at by a driver stating my brake light was out entirely. The brake light and license plate light will not illuminate at all even after the engine has started. The signals still work and none of the fuses are blown. I removed the brake light to see if there was an issue there but I…

Hello everybody, Since electrics aren’t my strong point I would like some advice from people who actually do understand electrics.. I bought a aux light set from Auxbeam (3”pods). These came delivered with a wiring harness (suited for 4x4’s..) I would like to wire it up to my Tenere using the right side aux connector which is tucked underneath the side fairing. now I was wondering how to connect it since the only two wires who are ‘free’ on the wiring harness are the +and- terminals.. I have spare make and female connectors (Fujimoto?..) to fit the aux connector. the wiring harness has also got a in line fuse (10amp)…

Hi, Is there a plug near the handlebar to connect a USB port? In the MT07 Accessories Yamaha shows a USB DC Outlet I prefer an OEM plug-in part rather than run my own wiring... Thanks for your advice, Peter

Greetings! I'll be installing a GPS. I want to use one of the provided auxiliary connectors. On other bikes, I used the OEM provided two wire ignition-controlled auxiliary without problem. Those bikes only had one connector to use if one wanted keyed power with adding relay or a junction box. How many two-wire and three-wire auxiliary connectors are provided? Are they all ignition switched? Is the three-wire connector for heated grips or for CAN messages. Thanks!

Early on in my ownership I, like so many others, installed a voltmeter with 2- USB ports. I dont use the USB ports very often and they do have a cover that I always keep closed. The voltmeter part still works showing correct voltage but both USB sockets no longer output any energy. These are pretty cheap units, does this happen often? Any thoughts on why the USB sockets quit while the read-out still works? Ill probably order up a couple of them anticipating then next failure, but I am wondering if Im wasting my time and maybe I'll just go back to the plug.

I’ve had my ecu remapped, part of it was the O2 delete. I’ve unplugged the connections under the tank and tapped them up but would like to get hold of a plug & socket and make up proper weatherproof blanks. Anyone know of a supplier for these connections, ideally UK?

I love to tinker, so I've replaced the standard cigarette lighter socket with a dual usb, and fitted a digital voltmeter while I had the headlight off. Very straightforward, especially as Yamaha thoughtfully supplied a spare switched power supply for the voltmeter. Just had to enlarge the mounting holes slightly with a rotary file.

Rode on Sunday for about 100 miles all was running fine. Stopped and talked with a friend for about ten minutes and bike would not start or turn over. Makes loud electrical click near solenoid then all power dies for a few seconds then the dash will flash intermittently for a few seconds with Err displayed. Then the Dash lights up and the fuel pumps cycles as if I just turned on the key. Hit the ignition and the whole cycle repeats itself. Bike has a new battery, no blown fuses, all connections appear tight, pop starting triggers the same electrical cycle with clearly no life to the bike. any ideas??

Hello everyone, Potentially obvious question.. Just opened up my seat while looking for tool storage options and saw this guy (see photos) unattached and do not know what it is. Maybe it attaches to one of those black boxes inside? Anyone know what this is and where it should be attached? Thanks in advance!

After getting half my bike apart in order to install a usb/voltmeter in the aux socket using the aux 2 pin connector, I could not get it to work. Appears to be no power to the 2 pin connector. Verified the usb unit was working by trying the leads on the battery. Sparked right up. To say that I am frustrated would be an overwhelming understatement. Had to put the bike back together so going in there for a second go will be a punch in the nuts. Any ideas? I'm an electrical newbie to say the least. Cheers, Brian

Hello Everyone, I blew fuse #5 / 2 amp today during the installation of a USB/voltmeter. Installed the USB > turn the key on > USB powers > turn key off > proceed to install anti-bobble bars > turn key on and double check USB power before installing panels and no power to USB > checked power to 2 pin connector with circuit probe and light does not illuminate > which led to finding fuse #5 blown. My question. Is fuse #5 common to blowing? My hopes are to charge a cell phone and maybe charge ear buds from these two USB ports. Can the 2 amp fuse handle this? Found it very odd for it to blow not charging any devices. …

I am planning to use a 3 pin power lead to connect Denali D4 lights. I will use a socket from an old Yamaha heated grips lead. It has two cables, one brown and the other yellow with red line. Which one is +ve? I assume brown but I’d rather check before burning expensive bike electronics… Many thanks.

Stopping the engine using the side stand is my go to for not having to turn off the abs again. Last ride I had to shift to neutral to fire the engine back up. I cannot think of any reason not to bridge the clutch switch since it has already failed me. Anyone with the same issue? Thoughts?
