Hi fellas and fellarettes! I recently bought a Baseus tire pump, with an auxillary jack style plug. I figured it would run fine on any cigarette lighter socket, but when I connect it to my scooter, it blows the fuse. That fuse is rated 2A, the same as the Tenere aux jack port. I'm a bit disappointed with this, because nowhere do Baseus specify amps or watts, only 12v DC. Anyway, question is: can I cut off the cigarette lighter plug on the pump, and connect it directly to the battery, with a ~5A fuse in the mix? (should be said that I haven't recieved my T7 yet, so just going by what I read in the manual)

Just got a pair of Denali D2 trioptic with the data dim unit having just read all the horror stories about the headlight not working and damage to the ECU after the trigger wire for the data dim was connected to the main beam wire. Have these problems been resolved?

Another Denali query... I have the OEM LED Plus indicators installed. (while/red light and indicators). I wired the Denali T3 indicators in parallel to the OEM ones, ie, on same three cables to the front only. I do not need them at the back. The white light and indicators work fine, ie: both OEM and T3 either shine white or indicate. However, the hazard mode does not. They all flash once and they they all turn off. Stopping the hazards and indicating again works fine. Anyone also wired these light together? How did you wire them? Other ideas of what might be going on? Thanks

I was reading a very long thread on adding switched power and someone asked the simple question “what about a Thunderbox?” I investigated and got one . No more worries about the amps of a switched wire! Please read my review and let me know what you think. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2022/02/15/healtech-electronics-thunderbox-review-electron-magic/

Say you want to add a charge port at the dash, or you want to plug in a relay to a switched socket for a fuse block. Are there any available sockets on the harness? How many and where are they? :

Hello guys! I hope this question isn't to dumb - here we go: The Oxford heated grips are suppose to be connected straight to the battery I believe, is there a reason for this or is it ok to connect it to the "empty" slots that are available for auxiliary lights and similar are suppose to be connected to? Grateful for answer

Hey guys and gals, today i am posting a few pics on how i installed my garmin amps rugged mount to my t7, i used the rally raid top mount to mount the garmin amps rugged mount to the top bar above the instrument cluster, i chose to run the wiring down the right hand side and used the oem connector to wire directly to the stock accessory spare connector, this 3 pin connector is for the grip warmer the left hand side is for the fog lamps, the flat 2 pins on either side is for the lighter socket types, i used the connector MT090-3 from link here the rally raid site can be found here rally raid link , i chose to wire the + to the lower right hand terminal as the power is switc…

Hi guys! just wanted to share my little mod. so anyone deciding to go with another left hand side switch, can see the wiring and colors for the different OEM switch functions. I put CEV style switches from KTM enduro bikes, just to be able to mount both my Terrain Command controlled on the left side (to cramped with oem) I didn’t cut any wires, just used my soldering iron to remove the cables from the OEM switches. This way I can always turn it back to stock if need be. on thing, these CEV style rocker switches suck LOL, they will not like water and are prone to cause glitchy short circuit behaviors. this if you do not seal the…

So I picked up a pair of these TST Industries Turn Signal turn signals for the front and rear of my T7 but looking at it it doesn't have the same plug in. I saw these Harness on their website but I'm not sure if this is the right hook up, and also the relay flasher. does anyone know what I would need to get to wire these up? Thank you.

For those of you who prefer to build your own Aux light system, as opposed to purchasing some of the very expensive complete kits available out there, this little kit could help you. I’ve been fumbling through the idea of setting up some Aux lights for awhile now. I didn’t want to put up the money for the complete kits out there and preferred to muddle my way through building my own kit. So last year I got a mount bracket, then some lights. Now I needed a switch and some wires. The lights I got just come with 2 short wires ea and nothing else. So I’ve had some experience wiring in a bunch of Aux lights for our Yamaha SXS and thought I’d look for a sim…

I added this light bar: https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-40001S-B-Mounting-Brackets-Warranty/dp/B0197ZQLBA Now I need to wire it up - looking for a relay or a wiring harness package that will do the trick. Any recommendations? Going to wire it into the high beam switch. Any info appreciated! Truck

I have a set of Darla Clearwater lights that I took off my bmw F800 GSA prior to selling it to transfer to my T7. It has the dial to set the intensity of the lights that I am mounting to the handlebars. The setup requires a switched power source for the lights. The wires are only long enough to fit under the seat. is there a switched power under the seat? I know there is one under the front fairing, it just isn’t long enough to tap into. The back brake lights are also a ways back. I have considered getting the eastern beaver power block (pc8) and wiring that in to have all the power I need, but I don’t have it yet. thank you!

EDIT: Upon receipt of the product and comments elsewhere from those who had installed, I decided not to install and returned the product. I'm nit saying it isn't a good solution, but felt it wouldn't work on my set up. Since I bought the Tenere, I haven't been happy with my tech,or specifically where each element is mounted. I really wanted to solely use my phone for nav, so went Quadlock handlebar mount on the crossbar, with vibration dampener and wireless charging head, which works fine, but the inability to use in portrait mode without blocking half your info screen was annoying.I didn't want to raise the mount,so muddled through for a while, bu…

You guys have already helped me so much with my new bike that I wanted to give something back to the group. Hope it helps someone. After seeing this solution somewhere on this forum, I order and installed the Belinassu SMART IAT (intake air temperature sensor) yesterday. The result was a VERY noticeable immediate improvement. It was not subtle....as in I no longer have the issue. The throttle is much smoother at low revs now. Install took about 5 minutes. I removed the 4 screws of the front upper part of the wind shield, remove the 2 screws of the multi-function meter unit (aka the dashboard unit)…unplug the old sensor inside the dashboard unit and plug …

I've read through most of the threads here and over on ADV Rider and I'm still confused. I'm a total noob when it comes to electrical wiring. I have a new zumo xt and the moto pumps mount and the camel bobble head kit shows up today. In doing research on how to wire it I've come to realize that rather than run directly to the battery, like I was going to do, I should instead wire into 'switched' power. There are a number of threads here that talk about using he existing accessory plugs on the T7. Though I can't understand what the difference is between the 2 pin or 3 pin and the various amps loads they can accommodate. Bottom line is if I buy thes…

Hi guys, I´m planning and buying all kinds of accessories for the Tenere these days. But now I wonder what kind of lights people here are running? In the past I have always used the stock BMW fog lights, since they came pre-installed on the bikes. But now I am looking for some high output auxiliary lightning for those dark forest trips. What do you recommend? Denali, Clearwater, PIAA? Fabros

Hi, This summer I installed some Kinstecks LED turn signals and LED flasher relay from Amazon and everything was fine until yesterday where they would not blink. However, the DRL function of the turn signals still works every time I switch on the ignition (could this mean that wiring is not the issue?). Also, when I flick the turn signal button from the handlebars, no light would appear on the dashboard. The same thing happens with the hazards, nothing appears on the dash when I click the switch. I already tried replacing the fuse with the spare but it did not solve the issue of not blinking. I also replaced the LED flasher relay but to no avail as well. Anyon…

Hello I have just added a power plug, by Yamaha to my dash area. This is a Yamaha item. I plugged it into an open connector on the right side behind the side plate on the tank. I have also added a power cord to plug into my heated vest. I have ran power to my Garmin mount and two front LED lights. The problem now is that after the bike is sitting over night the battery is dead. I do not have the lights on or the Garmin put in it’s holder. Any help with why my battery is being drained? Than you, Ron

The Select switch location on the right hand side is kind of dumb. While you can operate it and maintain speed, it's kind of clunky and I usually accelerate or decelerate when doing it. I periodically cycle to the Trip1 to monitor fuel range or to outside temp while I usually leave the display on Ave Mpg. This all bothered me. I was bored tonight so made a thing. Wiring diagram shows the Select Switch function Opens the circuit between two wires on a three wire plug that lives under the right hand lobe of the gas tank. This circuit is Normally Closed and the Select switch opens the circuit to advance the display or is held open to reset the blinking …

Has anyone fit the US/Canada 2014+ Super Tenere 1200 LED turn signals on the T7? The front have running light function just as the T7 & look to have a similar oblong rubber mount.
